Really hope that they add the public track days, a really essential mode for me, really miss it and it was great in forza motorsport 7,and hopefully they can have a bigger player count.

@@tyleresker3306 the Player Counts include only Steam Players, but Forza Motorsport is Primary a Gamepass Game and there are no Player Statistics about it. I have no problems to find full lobbys in Multiplayer regardless of the time of day, so i think its not dead.

I kinda feel like if they’d launched the game as a game preview title, players might have been more forgiving of the games issues from launch, but with it being a full priced title and with so many years in development & learnings from past titles, players feel like they’ve purchased a beta, so it’s going to take a huge amount to bring players back if they even come back. The trust has been broken.

@RainingFlow19 Triple A gaming as a whole has been on a quality/passion decline for years. Even Gran Turismo 7 received a ton of scrutiny from its launch as well, the problem is that morons still buy games on release. You’d think most people would’ve learned games on their initial release are full priced betas after Cyberpunk 2077. This time around I only spent 2 dollars to try Motorsport 8 since I bought a 1 month gamepass sub, and even for just 2 dollars I was let down. Triple A games (especially as the increase prices) simply aren’t worth their costs anymore on launch, even with years of development, they’re at the level of a yearly release, which is ridiculous. I just don’t understand how the indie scene hasn’t overtaken the triple A space, given the quality of indie games releasing these days.

Things like this alone won't save it, and adding the Nordschleife early strikes me as a desperate attempt to get players back. Not conveniently "completed early"

It's honestly a good start for Forza to fix the game as it is still full of bugs and it feels like they are just focusing more on the cars rather than the bugs. Another thing I have to say is hopefully they fix the pit exit on the homestead speedway circuit. Right now it just sends you into the middle of the track and they intentionally blocked off the actual pit exit with cones

A good start would have been not releasing it in this state. Now MS will let them make a few updates but if the player don’t come back fast they will pull the plug and start with a new game. They want to make money in the end

tbf, that typo might just be a reference to the "Still Game" comedy skit about the "Weclome" door mat. all it takes is 1 scottish dev and you can almost guarentee a "weclome" will make its way in, lol

bug to fix: the aston martin valkari needs an overhaul as when you have it stock and look over at tuning it says it only does 54mph, but when you go to race it does over 200mph and also the class is wrong it should say x999 but when you race with them it says its a p998

i feel like they should look at the earlier (360) games at what made them so good. maybe encourage driving with the same car by rewarding you and not restricting you, for example: if you get to rank 50 you get a very expensive or exclusive car. car point should be manufacturer based or just another currency you can use across every car.

Already anyone familiar with the nordschleife will probably recognise that the kerbs are wrong. After all this time, its not even any more accurate than fm7

I made the decision that this and FH5 will be my last Forza games. From the inevitable 5 to 10 buck car packs every single month, to this train wreck of a motorsport game, I feel that it is time for me to switch to literally any other sim racing game. I'm done. Congrats Turn 10 cause you can have all of it at this point.

Well, calling Forza a sim is quite a stretch, but I get the sentiment. Unironically, Project Cars 3 could’ve filled that simcade niche, if it weren’t for its own bad launch and hijacking the Pcars name for what was really a totally new game. Hopefully TDU 3 is actually good, some of the people tbh at played the betas claimed the physics are towards the sim end of the scale, so FH6 may actually have competition this time around.

Wish that had a wheel only race section in multiplayer. Controller players have a huge advantage imo

Many won't want it because it isn't arcade enough. You really have to work hard to win races. I don't want that to change one bit. A new class of sim drivers will have to rise to the challenge. I think they will, I hope they will. Or it's back to the arcade racing game.

I do suggest FM to have ONE large update every 3 months until the game becomes stable and likeable enough. Then go back to monthly updates or stay at the 3 months cucle.

FM needs 32 tracks,50 more vehicles, modern F1, Nascar and Electric F1 to be the successor.

Hopefully, the fuel flow bug on the valkyre is fixed

This is the one track I actually wanted since the game came out! Now they need to fix everything else!

The Nordschleife is not enough for player retention. It helps with those who really like the track, but most people see it as a tough track to run. For me, it alone makes no difference with Forza Motorsport. If I want to race on the full Nurburgring, I have the track in various other games. Hell, I can run it in FM7 if I wanted to, but why on Earth would I? The improvements with PC frame spikes, and multi-threading sounds more interesting than the Nordschleife. Also seeing better performance from turning settings down is a huge plus. Someone struggling to stay at 60FPS while runnibg high detail will see a decent bump simply dropping game detail to medium? Thats how most other games work, its about time FM gets this right. Then theres no more letterboxing on non 16:9 images. I only hope this also counts for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 aspect ratios. It just dawned on me that this could be for the 4:3 aspect ratio... God I hope this isn't the case. If the letter boxing does allow someone like me to take a triple screen photo, then Photomode is now working. And that is one place I will spend much of my time in Forza. I'm very much looking forward to update 5. The Nordschleife is just icing on that cake. (Also my expectations are tempered. It doesn't sound like it here, though. 😂)

If they get there finger out with some of the fixes they plan to implement it may just save the game but they really could do with updating some of the cars I do feel like it was a cut and paste from FH5 which felt a bit cut and paste from FH4

FFB of FM8 is the best by far. Better than Gran7, Even better than ACC on xsx. Because its the only game allowing the wheel damping options any other detail wheel setting in the game.

I don’t currently own FM, I am there on day one for a new Horizon title but the motorsport titles are less important to me so I tend to buy them 12 months after launch when there is a discount on the price. With the changes TT are bringing post launch, I may now be interested in downloading the game later in the year rather than skipping entirely. I don’t do online racing in the motorsport titles btw so the lobby issues aren’t relevant to me, just the career mode, car painting, circuits, car list etc. Once Bathurst is back I’ll look at it seriously.

I haven't uninstalled yet, but I'm not sure I'll ever come back if they don't remove the car leveling system. It is a massive barrier to entry for the gameplay I care about: open multiplayer.

Well, no matter what anyone believes about this game, the footage shown of T10's newest version of Nordschleife does look incredibly beautiful with its atmosphere and trackside detail.

It's every video or article this is messed up, this other thing is missing, the part here doesn't work and I can't get past it. I’ve put a bit of time into it and the only thing i don’t like is the lack of maps, i don’t mind the car leveling up system or anything of the like, most people just want every map ever made in one game

Possible due trying to retain player base and possible due IMSA Sebring race being next month. I think we will get our first “new track” in April but all this is too late unless the core game is fixed!

Ive never really liked Nordschleife in Forza. Something about it never looked right, always felt over stretched.

Uninstalled it some days ago because I did not play it at all after the mess in the beginning. Installed Goat Simulator instead and Dirt Rally 2.0. Much more fun than FM. Sadly.

When i bought the game it was fine. But with the last 2 updates glitches have started to appear, and just today had my first crash. Went into the pits, changed tires, and left. Hard crash. Doesn't loolk very positive.

With the greatest respect… The Ai and Multiplayer is ram-tastic carnage on a flat-ish track, with large ‘run offs’ (Silverstone and Le Man etc) … Can you imagine the chaos that racing will be on the Nordschleife!!! Absolute Destruction Derby I’m sure! 😂🤦‍♂️

I dont think it was a 6 year development... and tbh I am enjoying the game myself. Yea. Hasn't been the best of releases and far from perfect with its issues. but it's still a decent game and only going to get better in time. I love how the cars handle compared to previous games and I think its still a great looking game. They have updated quite a few car models aswell. This track is great to have back but im not a huge fan boy of it as I have played it so many times on pretty much every racing game. Still will play it on fm tho. I want Bathurst to return. And please change the monthly championships they take quite a while and does get abit tedious. Atleast have the cars buyable and if you do the championship you get them for free..

They make big deal out of everything that is already in FM7 which is 7 year old game. And i bet that nordschleife aint gona be any different than in fm7. They said sth bout new scans etc hardly doubt it

See, Forza is a double edged sword for me. On one hand, the blind driving assistds enable me as a fully blind person to finally play a racing simcade game, this was just not possible till now and I am really happy and glad about that. On the other hand though I can not ignore that there isnt that much multyplayer content, most of the car sounds are not that good and they sadly screwed up parts of the sound engine, making it harder to race with other people because the panning of the engine audio is off. I really hope that t10 get the game to where we all want it to be.

Fh5 everybody loves the game at launch but it all went down hill after 2 months

I actually enjoy the racing in Forza motor sport

We need drifting back in the game and drag racing I payed for a game that I like and I don’t play it because it don’t have the one thing I like to do in forza motorsports but in stead I have to play horizon to go drifting so put it back in this game so we can have fun with this game

Honestly I think they had a genuine built for the ground up game for 5 years of development and then something happened, be it on Microsoft or Turn 10 part and they had to quickly assemble a game in a year, because this game 6 years in development makes 0 sense.

I’ve been enjoying the forza gt races recently and I think the physics are pretty good aside from some of the collisions but the rest of the game has been a huge let down and I think this is my wake up call to finally upgrade to a ps5 and play gran turismo like I have for the last 20 years.

No drifting still keeps slowly pushing me away.

The issue is already its out of date as the track is currently dug up and being relaid around Fuchsröhre (foxhole) but noone has that as its not laid yet

The rate of improvement is too slow to recover properly, and the poor game design decisions are going to hurt the FM Franchise for a long while. As a "reboot" this game did more harm than good. The unfinished nature of the game has significantly impacted it so much that even if they added most of them back it probably wouldn't fix it. Every system including the car progression has issues many at a core gameplay level.

Yeah, I played Forza since Motorsport 4 and became somewhat of a fanboy until Motorsport 7/Horizon 4. When I finally came to my senses and realized it’s legit an asset flip with new menus and maps(in Horizon’s case), I quit buying them. Now if I buy them, it’s on a crazy big sale because its simply not worth the asking price unless it’s your first Forza title. I had qualms about paying 2 dollars for the gamepass sub to play the game, I’d be kicking myself and defending it (buyer’s remorse) on every possible “hate” post, if I didn’t learn my lesson and paid full price lmao. I finally understand why the fanboys of any game are so stubborn about criticism, it’s literally just buyer’s remorse creating cognitive dissonance.

Give us a usable radar! Just copy ACC or GT! I'm a longtime FM fan, but if I was on PC I'd be nowhere near this game. Series X doesn't have the options. The racing can be very good. Priorities for me should be a good radar and better safety matchmaking

The paint booth has to change completely, it was fine 20 years ago when Forza Motorsport debuted on original Xbox and it was still okay ten years later but now with so many competitors having better paint booths there’s no reason for this outdated design, NFS has has had a much better paint booth since 2015, there is no reason different parts of car bodies to grouped together, the hood, the trunk, front fender fenders, rear fenders, doors, mirrors, front bumper, rear bumpers should all be thir own distinct parts, by default every part of the car should be separate and the wrap required the painter group different parts together they can choose to.

Forza Motorsport is now where Gran Turismo was with GT5. GT5 had a long development cycle only to release a game with half done car models that they passed off as base and “premium “ (in other words actually finished) cars. GT survived and came back to being what it is today. Forza Motorsport can do the same as long as they learn their lesson and SERIOUSLY do fan service with LOTS of free high quality content and events. I mean NO PAID DLC for at least a year. They’ve got to get the bad taste out of players mouths 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿

I am personally excited to see what new bugs update 5 actually creates. This game is a joke. I have tried since launch to give this thing a chance but frankly it’s just getting old. I never would have imagined a Forza Motorsport title getting stale in less than a month. This game really frustrates me. I’ve uninstalled and have gone back to Forza 7 to scratch the itch. I have to wait a month in between updates to get the game we all should have gotten at release? CTFO….

Don't expect this update to save this game; Microsoft has laid off a giant portion of employees all over Xbox Game Studios and associated studios owned by Microsoft. Turn 10 is no exception and the layoffs will definitely make this promise unfeasible. Hopefully, it's only the incompetent employees that are laid off, and therefore possibly save Turn 10 the same way Playground Games saved themselves after the head honchos left during the second year of Forza Horizon 5. Otherwise, expect 1.0.5 to be nothing more than the bare minimum of just the track taken from Forza Motorsport 5 with glitched collision and no fixes.

Hey if people want to give up on FM that's ok. No one is forcing anyone to play the game. I understand the game wasn't complete. However, what game is complete nowadays. Seems like games drop, and patches follow. I completely understand the game isn't complete but I'm not going to stop playing. At the most just take a break from the game until a patch drops. Now if your still not happy, then feel free to move on. However, when someone decides to move on why look to complain on FM topics or vids...

I was a beta tester for this and i can confirm the pit exit is midway through the carousel.

This is typical CP2077 situation. We all know this studio can do much better, look at FH5. Did the game needed to stay longer in development, yes. But i do believe that this game will look amazing by somewhere end of this year.

The fact that most car models are outdated specially the 2008 sti, is proof enough to know this game was NOT built “fRoM tHe GrOuNd Up🥴” I uninstalled the game.. i’ll wait for the next Forza motorsport when they figure out wtf they’re doing

Penalty system is joke and they should work on System fps stability and performance not a faking a TRACK or Car.

I will say that there are major problems with the game we all know but i still do like the game and still play it frequently and daily. I know the Nord is a track a lot of people like (Myself included) but i feel they need to include some older tracks like the community has been begging for

I predict that Forza will be the new Assetto Corsa. That game that started out as a failure but now is considered on of the best. Only with Forza, it is happening very quickly. Assetto Corsa took years.

Probably not. Assetto Corsa’s reputation comes from its utility as a modding platform, rather than the actual gameplay. It took them making Competizione for people to like an AC game on release. Forza has always been anti modding, which is why you’ll be banned from online even for modding singleplayer. When a game launches this poorly, the reputation can never be fully recovered. Some will come back (for example, CP2077), but the initial launch will have scared so many away, the only way they’ll buy it is on sale. It may be a “hidden” gem in like 5 years, but by then it’ll be too late and it’ll begin getting taken off store fronts.

i have been a loyal forza motorsport player throughtout the games lifespan but now i have called it quits i am still getting infinite load screens on career after every practice session...think the games done and dusted for me.... never playing motorsport again il stick to horizon

recycled content is not gonna save fm at this point fh5 is much better in its current state and has a more active playerbase

The motorsport graphics on the series S is absolutely terrible
