The purpose of this channel is to enjoy watching cars that, in real life, couldn't possibly have competed together. There is no need to point out the obvious: they don't obey the same regulations, nor are they designed for the same purpose. Nevertheless, I try as much as possible to keep the comparison realistic within the imaginary borders defined by the video's core idea.

This just doesn't feel right... I find it hard to believe that a Formula E car has more downforce and grip than a 1991 F1 car. Interesting video though thanks. Edit - 1991 Monaco the Minardi did a 1:23.0 and the Formula E pole in 2023 was a 1:31.1. And that's with a number of changes at Monaco that has made the circuit faster. I'd say the Minardi is between 10-12 seconds a lap quicker than the Formula E car around modern Monaco. So with that in mind I'd expect the gap at the Hungaroring to be larger.

Yep, actually on the old Hungaroring layout, the worst minardi time in qualifs was close from 1'22. The layout was faster than now, however I think my lap time could be much optimized. I gave myself a dozains of trials to achieve a decent lap, but I cant exclude that I missed an important tip somewhere in the track or in the car settings.

@@fabulouscarcharts5467yes the f1 needs hard work on the setup because the basic setups on the ASR F1's are pretty shitty like not drivable at all. Always understeer so hard like in the video.

They don't, I love Formula E but somethings wrong with the F1 setup. Even with the succ downforce, Formula E are pretty low downforce for open wheelers. A wingless car with that much more weight (albeit on much better tyres due to technological advancements) shouldn't be able to carry that much more speed through the corners. I'm probably wrong though, I'm just some dude, not an expert

Would be interesting, but I do not get this mod unfortunately. Moreover, I wanted to oppose the Ferrari V12 engine to the electric one :)

I dont care the result and i havent watched it yet, but the Minardi (and every f1 from that era) is zillions of times more beautiful than that radiocontrol thing.
