Former Nickelodeon actor Drake Bell sentenced in Cleveland after pleading guilty

Ойын-сауық

Former Nickelodeon actor Drake Bell sentenced in Cleveland after pleading guilty.
The actor and singer, whose legal name is Jared Bell, was charged in connection to a December 2017 incident.
Last month, Bell entered a guilty plea to the following charges:
- Attempted endangering children (felony).
- Disseminating matter harmful to juveniles (misdemeanor).
Bell, best known for his roles on Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh and The Amanda Show, faces up to two years in prison. Before Bell pleaded guilty, however, the judge noted that prison time is not mandatory in this instance.

@J Wilson I just find it weird that an aunt (assuming the aunt is a grown woman here and knew that that it’s really weird to bring your niece to see an celebrity that is an adult) thinks it’s okay to bring her niece to see an adult. Now if it was a convention (like say for example bronycon or any anime convention) where there will be panels where certain actors would answer questions or does autographs then that’s one thing since usually an adult is with you (like a parent or something) but this case it’s not like that since I assume this was in private which knowing that fact then yeah the aunt was partially in fault.

If no one here could see what's going on, and just believe the girl because she's the supposed "victim ". Studying the body language, certain details, use of coping methods, and other information. It's evident she's not being honest. She begins talking using emotions of a victim but, soon is stopped by the judge & her true self is seen. She begins to talk again but, this time the paid & suffering tome is gone & she has to remember to go back to it. Drake also shows that he's thrown off by what seems to be a new accusation & couldn't believe the lies she is spewing. Her story hasn't been consistent changes added & left out. She's lied & poor drake had to go through this. Also, drake pleading guilty doesn't mean he is guilty. Anyone who's been in legal situations know that sometimes (not all) a plea deal is unfortunately their best option. Sometimes the client just wants it over & make their lawyer take a plea, the lawyer sucks & tell their client "just take the deal", and other reasons

@@edwincastillo8280 thank you for being honest. She kinda looks like the catch me outside girl, she smiled throughout the whole thing and didn’t shed any tears. When his lawyer stated that the accuser went to 9 concerts while making those false claims, she tried correcting them where she supposedly went to 3 concerts, and when his lawyer debunked about the assault occurring at the hotel room the accuser literally agreed by shooking her head. She is then shocked when his lawyer said the things she accused him of didn’t happen. She was also pretty much mad at Drake because he had someone else in his life. In the Mexican news channel “Ventaneando”, Drake and his wife Janet said that the girl went after his wife and had pictures of her on her phone with intentions of stalking and harassing her over her relationship with Drake, as well as blackmailing her with the accusations. His wife suffered through unfair backlash for the girl’s nonsense when she knows her husband never did anything wrong to the girl in the first place. Not to mention how Josh went behind Drake’s back lying about that they were never friends in real life, but he (Josh) had videos of him hanging out with drake on his KZread channel so it doesn’t make sense for him to distance himself away from Drake like that. If Josh was to stand up for Drake for being stalked by a super fan, they would knew that drake was this kind of person and Josh would be blacklisted and he (Josh) would’ve suffered career assassination because of how the media loves toxicity and drama.

37:44 is such a blatant act. Shit like this is why victims have such a hard time being taken seriously. He had already plead guilty to all counts. Noting in her testimony could’ve made him go to jail any longer. “I’m certain if I wasn’t menstruating he would’ve raped me” like dude you said it yourself “actions speak louder than words” if there was an attempted rape that would’ve been a whole other story. You can’t just say “yah Im sure he would’ve raped me” and expect the Judge is gonna smack down his gavel with “life in prison!”. Even though he committed a disgusting crime and deserves jail, I believe all the faces of disbelief he was making during her testimony. Why? He plead guilty to everything. He owned up to his shitty crime and had nothing to argue. He knew she was just attempting to throw gas on the fire. The dude at 46:10 literally says he’s never seen investigation of a victims plea during sentencing. Don’t make shit up that didn’t happen! You hurt every other victims chance of being believed!

He never plead guilty to her accusations of Sexual Assault. Drake Bell was accused by a former fan of sending her "inappropriate messages" when she was a minor. She filed a complaint with the Ohio police & Drake was investigated for 2 years. Electronic devices were seized & the Instagram/Facebook message file was requested. During the investigation, they realized that Drake cut off communication with the girl when he found out her age. THEY NEVER FOUND INTIMATE IMAGES. There was also no sexual record in these messages. Drake is one of the few artists who really takes the time to respond to networks, open DMs & share. In her case, this ex-fan (& her family) wanted to take advantage of this. The girl's family continued to take her to Drake's shows in Ohio & were with her at all times, even getting Meet & Greet through contacts. She attended 9 shows in total following her accusations. This is mentioned in the trial. During the final hearing, after sentencing Drake for responding to the messages, the "victim" gave further statements WITHOUT PROOF, saying that Drake had abused her. The same lawyers denied it at that precise moment, since there were multiple witnesses. The girl was accusing Drake without evidence and lying in court, because at that time Drake began to make his relationship with Janet more public (when he announced his engagement). There is also evidence that the girl wrote things to Drake like "I miss you", after the accusations & that she kept photos of Drake's partner, even sending her messages & invading her privacy. Drake pleaded guilty for: 1. Exchanging messages WITHOUT KNOWING the age of the girl. This was the advice she seeked out from him on Instagram. 2. Having met her at a Meet & Greet, with other people present, since this for US law is "endangering" a minor. Drake never accepted charges for abusing anyone. Another thing that started as gossip in the United States is that Drake Bell had "escaped" to Mexico to evade his crimes, which is false. Drake likes to visit Mexico and has been coming for years. Your visits have absolutely nothing to do with your case. Drake Bell does NOT live in Mexico nor did he change his nationality and the nickname "Campana" was given to him by the same fans. Drake came this past weekend (May 22) to a festival in Orizaba and was invited to a club in Orizaba and Pachuca. We want to make it very clear that in the trial it is pointed out and highlighted that NONE of the charges that Drake faced have a record of sexual or abuse. So calling him “abuser”, “vi0lad0r”, “ped0phile”, etc. is DEFAMING Drake Bell. The law never found evidence for those accusations." - Taken from the FFDB Project (Fans For Drake Bell) Twitter Page.

Her aunt said they were not left alone in the hotel room, and witnesses state at the concert the door was open and people went in and out the whole time. Sadly it's not just the aunts fault. The parents need to take responsibility for their lack of oversight. And indulgence of letting her be so obsessed with a celebrity. If this all really did happen. Also she was old enough to know right from wrong. Why not tell her parents. Not victim blaming. But in most situations. You don't randomly end up there. You have to make some choices to be there.
