Globe and Mail: This March, 1985.... Mulroney fired the entire board of Air Canada and replaced it with friends and Tory loyalists, including Frank Moores, leader of his campaign to dump Joe Clark. Canadian politicians were involved with Air Canada and the mandates that would not allow some Canadians to fly. Most information has been removed from the internet.

I remember mulroney, the apostle of free trade, or, how our jobs went elsewhere, big time, in the 80's. I remember him saying in 1984: ''free trade is good for Canada''. Then you saw a big plane go to china with him on board with ministers, and a bunch of his big corporate friends. Then I understood who was really ''Canada''; the rich elite of this world, politicians and their rich corporate friends. The ordinary mid class working people are losers in this big corporate stinking game. They don't give a crap about us. It's the same game all over the world, and preached through all of klaus schwab's WEF minions and their paid for ''whorish news media''................................

@@AStri-zg5xc The carbon tax isn't all that costly. There are more than a few studies that show the carbon tax adds very little to the cost of anything. I'll let you do your own Google searches on that. Otherwise, the carbon tax has a purpose in reducing carbon emissions. Which is a good thing. And it's been inevitable for about the last 40 years when governments first introduced it. And we can thank Alberta for being the first to introduce and pass a carbon tax in North America. Once British Columbia and Quebec followed, it was up to the Feds to introduce it. And I'm sure your family once immigrated to Canada and were considered newcomers, and were probably hated by someone at the time. I wonder how they felt about that.

Yes he had an air of arrogance about him, but it paled in comparison to the unwordly arrogance of our current Prime Minister. Mulroney was also very intelligent, had a sense of dignity and integrity as a human being, and even though I disagreed with some of his policies and his one noted business conflict, I respected him as a person and for his efforts to do what he thought best for Canada and Canadians as our PM. Compare that to our current PM...who doesn't even know what the words "intelligence", "integrity", and "dignity" mean, let alone possess any of those traits himself...or have any ability or even intent to do what's best for Canada and Canadians. HST replaced the (hidden to consumers) manufacturers sales tax- so that was ok, but the issue is HST(including pst) now covered goods & services that were not previously taxed provincially (PST). Division was and still is the plan, a literal plan, collaborated with Mulroney, Reagan, Thatcher, Chirac. The creation of the International Democrat Union was the start of the attack on Western democracy. Supposed 'centrist _conservative'_ parties comprise the Union, but the representatives were and are far-right activists. Canadian actor Leslie Nielsen's brother, Erik, was a founding representative. He was a separatist. Currently, Stephen Harper is the Chairman of the IDU, with the Vice Chair being U.S. Republican Mike Roman, a long time secret operative for Koch Industries and was indicted under RICO charges in Fulton County, Georgia, related to activities attempting to overturn the 2020 election.
