Forging an AXE from a HAMMER
This was a really fun one y'all! Watch to the end to see me DESTROY some pumpkins with the axe! Or you could skip to the end, LOL. But it's not that long of a video so.... 😉. Anyway thanks for watching! Be sure to hit the thumbs up and if you haven't already please sub for more!

Axe be lookin' hella dope, Curtis Haaland!
It looks like a pirate’s boarding axe but so very awesome to see how you made that nice work
One of the coolest axes i have seen. Love it.
Turned out great! That's actually one of the things I'm planing to do, only by hand, don't have a press, yet! Good job! Subbed

This exactly what I want
Muy lindo trabajo!!
Все понравилось, но проушина узкая надо было расширить, ручку лучше как на томагавке без клина, и термообработка, закалить надо было только лезвие, а так форма красивая респект 👍
Great 👏👏

Thanks Willard! I appreciate that. I really enjoy making these videos.
That handle grip would be so uncomfortable to use. But great work
Can I ask, why did you harden the entire axe? Didnt you want some flex if you are throwing that beast?
Beautiful work, love the repurposing of old steel. I'd like to do this but dread the idea trying to forge it out by hand with the little skill I have. Out of curiosity what ended up going wrong with the first handle?

Thank you! Ya I love those old USA made hammers. The hang was loose and the top of the handle was broken.
This is really awesome. I'm gona try to forge one. What do you use for blackening the steel???

It’s an old Kinyon style power hammer I got from Burt Foster.
Beautiful axe, just feel you should have opened up the eye for a sturdier handle.
wow amring
