Thank you for doing this as this is the real Labour Day and it is celebrated in all South America and many other places. 1885 Workers were protesting for better rights for four days, many were killed for radicals.
I can still remember when about 65 years ago, I joined in with the other students at my school in Southern California and we all ‘danced’ around the May Pole; each of us holding the end of a streamer and half of us going in one direction and the other half going the opposite direction, and when we passed a student going the other way, we alternated. One student passed on the right side and the next one passed on the left. The pole ended up with streamers woven into a cord with a middle core of steel. (The poles were normally used as tether-ball poles.) It was a lot of fun to do and to see the results. I had a very tumultuous childhood, most of which I’ve put out of my mind, but being a part of this celebration is something I’ll always remember. ❤
Wanna say something about what chris hedges wrote about you cancelling his show? "I was just informed by Max Alvarez, the Editor-in-Chief at The Real News, that they will no longer run my show. The reason for the cancellation, he said, is that my critiques of Biden, especially for the genocide in Gaza, jeopardizes his nonprofit status." Thats messed up, man.

I was a Marc Steiner fan.
Back in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s I remember seeing/reading news of riots and deaths on May 2nd, news articles about how awful it was just a day earlier. Never any news stories on May 1st, talking about worker's rights. I think this is the first time ever that I've read something about what May Day is actually all about on May 1st. Good job, The Real News Network! (And yes, I've read and heard about May Day in school, heard/read about its origins, how it's the world's Labor Day, but here in the States we celebrate the same thing in September. Never on May 1st has there been a review of this info.)
