Dear Carson, I am a songwriter from Germany, now 65 years old. I wrote the lyrics to this song in his photo album for the birth of our second son because the lyrics to this song mean so much to me. My son is now 38 years old. That's how long ago it was. Today I hear your interpretation of this song. I'm sitting here at the computer right now and crying. My dad did the same. Every Birthday he sent me this song. He passed away 4 years ago. Coincidentally i am also 38 years old.

The mixture of this song, the budding trees and the chirping birds outside, and my upcoming graduation makes for such an indescribable feeling that I can only humbly thank you for, Carson :)

Yea, I am 58 and was just about to give up on current musicians but these guys and a lot of the others featured with them have really brought a spark of enjoyment and a rekindling of faith in their generation. I just love Carson’s voice and his musical selections, especially the really old stuff like the old starlet brothers song and 15 tons, it doesn’t get any better than that.
