I know you maybe skip reading...sorry that I couldn't make it shorter..🥲 This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Lazenca Save Us winning 4 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs 2! Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, one of the semi-finalists from Voice Korea 2, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in 2020. So I think this explains how their perfection executed.

There are real Disney songs as solo singing by Cho MinGyu, too! He sang Speechless in 8 languages and Into the Unknown in 12 languages. There are more Disney style songs from them - My Favorite Things, The Unwritten Legend (Like Someone in Legend) And they have more MJ too. They are not Kpop idols as you saw, they tried dancing to do justice to the Smooth Criminal. They have Thriller as one of their 3rd album triple title songs. But still I highly recommend their Bohemian Rhapsody as second-to-none cover. Watch it you'll know why!

Thank you for your reaction to Forestella 🙏 They're Kings of vocals and harmonies. And most people don't realize that Kpop doesn't necessarily mean "Pop" music. It just means popular korean music. So "kpop" could be any genre really. Plus they're a crossover group which means they do any genre of music. I appreciate you reacting to them and I hope you truly enjoyed it and saw just how skilled these men are. Can't wait to see more! :) If you wanna see a different side of them and it sound less, "disney-ish" lol, you should hear their cover of Ed Sheeran's song Shape of you they did. It's SOOO good.

@@BritPopsReact And just one thing more..Please react to Bohemian Rhapsody Mystique live concert version in Universal Music Classics channel, NOT to the radio live versions or whatnot! Even it's not the best video for Bohemian Rhapsody they've done..you should see their stage presentation version IMO. it's a pity the first released version (in Immortal Songs- a remake competition show in KBS) is blocked for abroad now. BTW Forestella sang both Champions (of Jo SuMi + Champs league theme intro mash-up) and We are the champions (of Queen) which made many reactors confused. I think it would happen to you as well. I write this for later ..lol + the last language in Shape of you is African Zulu. I've watched more than a thousand reaction videos to Forestella. Trust me you would be reading this again and get to know what I'm talking😆

Hello, I discovered your channel now and I saw it by chance. Forestella is a crossover group. I think they are amazing. I want to recommend to every performance from them. You can pick whatever you want because they are musically enjoyable and on the stage, they are perfect. They are an active group and they have soo many stage performances. They can go to rock, classic, pop ect. Actually, this groups members were individually successful at their career before Forestella too. Koo Woo Rim is the bass (his voice is very rich and always using beautifully), he is a classical musician. Cho Min Gyu is a leggiero tenor (has that classical power and vibrato in his nearly androgynous voice) and he is a classical musician too. Bae Doo Hoon is a tenor too (but much soulful, sweet and using low register, i guess?) and he is a musical actor. That three were already on the musical area for long and they had that musical education before the Phantom Singer 2 program. Kang Hyung Ho is a tenor/soprano and he worked as a research engineer before the Forestella and he quit his job after Forestella. He was not take a musical education but he used to rock music. He has singing background already as an amateur rock vocalist for 10 years until the program. They have too much options and too much ability. Thank you for your reaction.

Thanks for your support for Forestella! There are some mistyped name and incorrect infos..mistyped the names of 고우림 Ko Woo Rim and of 강형호 Kang Hyung Ho. I write like Ko WooRim but it was written as Ko Woo Rim (Kang Hyung Ho as well) in official fan kit for SoopByeol (their fandom name). Kang HyungHo majored in chemical engineering in the uni, worked as a research chemist. He introduced himself as tenor and soprano, never as counter-tenor. He had been singing as an amateur rock vocalist for 10 years at the point he auditioned in Phantom Singer 2.

Is on there a subtitle for Phantom Singer 2? I didn't know some information before your comment. I commented based on my ear, wikipedia or other comments on KZread videos because i didn't know a lot of things and including Kang Hyung Ho's statement. I also saw kpop wiki site and wikipedia pages with incorrect infos, even not updated from long time ago.. I think their ex-agency wasn't that good at such a fan-management stuffs..they moved to new agency having had idol group (A.C.E) already and we got official fancafe(online community) and official KZread channel from August 2021(we know they debuted in 2018! That's the ex-agency's fault..) I hope the new agency will be working on it soon. Apart of that, there is no official PS2 videos with English subtitles. But I think maybe you can find them in the facebook global Forestella fan page. I guess JTBC didn't make PS series for global release. Apparently seems they are against for global release.. JTBC blocked the clips from PS 1 and 2 for abroad in KZread. And they blocked Je suis malade and Shape of you from Phantom Singer All Stars, even didn't upload Inner Universe on the KZread saying they couldn't get solved copyright issues. KBS has released Shape of you and Inner Universe for abroad unlike JTBC said..you might watch the stage clips from PS2 in the fan channel named The Forestella. (Also you can watch the PSAS videos JTBC blocked in another fan channels too.) Sorry I wrote too long again :(

He can sing from low to high, can change tones and singing styles, can growl and sing in beautiful falsetto in real quick transition (like in the Phantom of the Opera in Lotto Singer). I am appreciating him he chose to live as professional musician. It would have been a very hard decision for very realistic person like him.

Oh yes they are still around! They just did a small USA tour and I saw them in Atlanta, February 2023. They sang in multiple styles, they do classical, pop, opera and everything in between. You must see their Bohemian Rhapsody, Shape of you and Bad Romance, for the more “exciting” songs, then “Hijo de la Luna”, “Je suis malade”, for thé emotional songs, “Save our lives and Utopia” for their own songs. You will be agreable surprised.

I wasn't blown away, but I liked it. I liked the third gentleman's voice when he came in. I'm a counter-tenor girl though, so that's not surprising. I agree with all of your comments. Very cute, nice performance, still very relevant (sadly), and a reminder to me how much I like the original song. I'm glad they didn't mess with it too much. Some songs you can play with and make them sound completely different, and it works, but this song would suffer if that happened. A solid 8 from me.

@EnderOllie 4 A solid 8 from you is good going. Always hard to not be too biased especially when it is such an iconic song, but they gave it a very good go and have some good harmonies. We may give them a return visit. Hope your doing OK with your self-isolation and have plenty of snacks stockpiled for laters, it's going to be a long Friday Show, we packed plenty in this one. @Chuey's Mama I was going to plead the 5th and blame everything on BP1 for this song choice if you threatened to never speak to us again, but I am relieved and also appreciate that you gave it a full view and some nice comments too. Glad to know you both stayed away from the outlets and if it comes to it, I will write to the Slayer Fan Club myself and state that we hypnotise all our viewers to watch anything we put out, how else would we get people to come back. Also, final call for your supplies, be sure to get in the extra large bags of Fritos and plenty of chews for Chuey, oh cover all outlets, just to be on the safe side. The Friday Show is coming soon.
