Another great video, Jay! Question…are there keyboard shortcuts for things like flyover, grid on-off, etc? Seems like it’d be nice to quickly tap “F” for flyover or toggle grid on with “G” instead of using your mouse to select it every time. I’d love to see a full 9 hole video!

Hi Jay; thanks for all the great content! Was wondering if it is a default for the aiming stick be aligned right on the pin. I notice on my FSX2020 playing par 3 holes like Pebble Beach #5 the aiming stick always shows about 5 yards left of the pin even with zero wind! So i need to manually correct it each time. Or am I missing a setting somewhere that places aiming stick right on the flag everytime in FSX 2020 and hopefully FSX Pro.

Nice update by Foresight. The graphics have been significantly improved and puts FSX Play on par with GS Pro imo. I'm now tossing up between FSX Play with a GC3 (portable but minus some data points) vs GS Pro with a Uneekor Eye XO (more data points but not portable). Would love to see a 'side by side' comparison of the 2 software's graphics, features, hardware requirements, etc.

Yeah.... I'm debating the same LMs as well (GC3 vs. EYE XO)

1) Can you move your aim around from the drone view? Love that feature on Trackman. 2) definitely needs ability to move the tiles to the left vertical. 3) There needs to be a setting to makes the top view or the right larger out of default. Fsx2020 requires you to click the enlarge button every time you want to see it larger. On a laptop that’s every time. I just want that to be automatic.

I have never tried to move around while doing the drone flyover in VG2. I guess I will have to see what you are referring to. The ability to move the tiles to the left I agree for sure. You mean make the mini map larger? Thanks for watching!

Again a great video with accurate info on the systems out there. Not making it easier to pick the right hard/software though. Don't you think gspro in combination with eyexo is more realistic/better graphics? "First person view" is cool. Does eyexo offer this as well?

Thank you. Software is always personal preference. I try to demonstrate them all the best I can so people can get their own opinion. This particular version of software is still under development I'll consider it more of a first look at the beta. Tough to really put a full gauge on it. Stay tuned for more 👍

My feature wishlist. 1. Option to put minimap on left (like 2020), 2. Minimap to show each players ball and remaining yardage, 3. Ability to put tiles on left or right, 4. Option to disable the bouncing yardage inidicator, 5. Option to disable automatic flyover and scorecard pop-up, 6. Option to let each player putt out when on green

I went to purchase the software this morning and they are "sold out" Kind of surprised since it is software. Are they having technical issues? Thank you for all of your videos! I have been watching them for years and last week I decided to buy the Bushnell Launch Pro. I was lucky enough to get one and I'm waiting on delivery in a few weeks. I am still on the fence with paying $800/year or $4K for the complete unlock. Do you think that FSX Play will include the ability to play in tournaments much like TGC 2019 and E6 connect? I really would love to be able to compete with others all over the world.

That's awesome, appreciate you watching. I don't have that official answer but I know it was discussed to improve their current peer to peer and yes they have leagues now so I would see it all integrating. I'll see if I can get a confirmation for a more immersive peer 2 peer play etc.

does this version still have the green tempurature view still avail i find that much more usable than just showing top down green? seems useless. that was the one feature i loved about foresight over e6 for example.

Great video... personally don't like seeing the Quad pop up on screen every time before hitting... can you show us the challenges... would be great if they came up with a similar skill challenge w/ Trackman that can get a score.

A few questions I don’t see the ball at address or my GC2 next to the ball? (Is this a gc quad only feature?) Using FSX 2020 I was able to change the video settings (chase, ball, etc) is that option available on fsx play? Lastly is there a distance to hole calculation? Good to know on practice mode how far my chip ended up away from the hole Thanks in advance and great videos!

Based on feedback that was removed. Too much moving back and forth. Pretty sure it always follows the fairway. When you sim you can see the aim point then the distance from there on the mini map

Looks great Jay! Is it just me or does it ‘zoom’ in a little too far from the ‘looking down’ view with the Quad in it, vs the ball strike view? Depth wise the downward looking view it actually looks 100 yards, then when it shifts to the target view, it almost looks like a 70 yard shot. Is that the same ‘in person’..?

Hi Jay. I own a GCQuad. I really struggle with putting realism. I have literally measured checked physical putts and compared it to the ones on screen. It is pretty much like finding the stump of my hitting surface. Never cracked it. I find the ability to read the break given the grid completely unnatural. Difficult to judge how much offline you need to putt to be on the line. Is there an option (like one that I think there is in E6) where you see the optimal line on the green and you need to putt straight and with the right strength to be on the line and hole? I think that is a meaningful training. Reading a break on a screen? Not really :-) Also. I think it would be great to have a random approach area/random putting green where your starting position vs the flag for pitch or putt change randomly for different lies/distances. Currently to do that you need to pick a course/hole under Improve (unless you want to stay on pancake flat driving range) and keep changing your starting position (otherwise you are stuck in the same position forever). Doing that manually after every shot (or couple of shots) is pretty time consuming. Thanks as always

Sorry to hear that, Roberto. I find the stimp to match my turf stimp really well. The new break lines may also help you read the greens better. One would think, more powerful graphics engine = more powerful graphics card. What graphics card are you running? How much RAM? Did you experience any delays/issues? They are including this with your FSX License, no cost. Sounds like they are going to be having more of a global FSX license. So if you own the FSX 2020 license you will be able to use FSX Pro, Play, etc.

It's overboard because of the streaming and high bit rate recording I do in 4K. Custom built, RTX 3090, i9 10990 with 128gb ram.

I’m interested in a gc3. Can any of the simulation software run on an iPad Pro(2020) ? I thought you had to have a gaming laptop for everything.

E6 does have an iOS version. I am not sure if they play to build a FSX Play iOS version. It's possible and would be very cool!

Correct if you own fsx 2020 you will get access to fsx play with that license. As of right now I don't know if any subscription is going to be offered outside of that.

Yes I do have club data and putting. I did a GC3 play video love you can check out. First time trying it.

The short chips and putts after the hit go right to a camera shot zooming to the hole. Maybe suggest the users see the shot from where they hit. Maybe delay zoom view 3 seconds

@@reeledgesa I agree. Sometimes the zoom is so quick from impact that you can’t really tell where the ball is headed until it’s on the way down. If you could zoom out and see more of the initial trajectory, it would be better. I’m thinking similar to how TV coverage is with shot tracers.

Have they added new courses that were not available in FSX 2018 and FSX 2020? If so, can you show those courses?

Despite what you said in this video, it looks like Foresight are charging a $500 upgrade fee (per their website, where you can now purchase the upgrade if you have an FSX 2020 license). This is incredibly disappointing to hear after purchasing a gc3 less than 2 months ago and expecting the upgrade to decent software based on your announcement in this video. What does your contact at Foresight have to say about this bait and switch?

Not yet. I think the initial plan was a early 2022 release but not certain as of right now.

You can’t be a 7.8! How much does the new system “tax” the GPU? I have a 3070 and it works fine on GSPRO. These graphics look like it would work it pretty hard in 4K. Any way to aim on putts within the software?

Haha. I am. All it takes in a lose drive or a shot behind a tree and I make a few mistakes for an 8 haha. Just have to start eliminating those and making more than a few birdies if I do make a mistake. They have not finalized the minimum requirements but I bet a RTX 3060 or above is going to be plenty. But 4K is more demanding so it just depends on the resolution and fps people plan on etc.

Is there a way to set a default size for the data tiles? Or do you have to shrink every time?

Right now there is not, but that would be a good suggestion to have a "remember" or default settings for things like that. I was thinking of asking if you could drag and drop the tiles and snap them to the side as well. I feel like I might enjoy them more snapped over on the left vertically.

Or even better, have the option to show shot data on a secondary monitor and hide them on the projector completely.

I literally just got my gc3 last night. Going to do a first look video hopefully today. Keep in mind it has already been benchmarked against quad and basically identical ball data so doesn't really to anything comparing them. It is a great unit for sure.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos Funny, had already seen that but had forgotten! That is a nice change of scenery but still not what I was hoping for. For whatever reason I love TM's range. The ability to go to different targets, different distances with different greens, different fairways, etc. It just feels more real and is more akin to how I go to the real range and practice. I'm not just hitting balls straight down the range all day long.

I love my GCQUAD that's for sure. I think because of the portability where I can take it to the practice green or out on the range really makes it incredible. It comes at a cost but I find it to be a great value. Thanks for watching

(1) I find the data tiles distracting. If I want them at all (play vs practice) I wish they could be positioned along the side and not in direct line of sight to the target. (2) I wish there were ball flight options - chose how you want the "camera" to capture the ball flight. (3) Could they render important shot information - like distance and elevation change - in a static section - like along the top - and not have the floating, bobbing target. I think it's odd that they upgrade the graphics to improve the reality of the experience and then toss in things that remind you this is indeed a computer simulation. It lessens the immersive experience IMO.

Foresight engineers, can you create a feature where you can play people online for ethereum and the players enter some kind of smart contract as soon as the challenge is accepted

Without a doubt online pick up games is a must. The entire reason at home video games exploded was the introduction of online multiplayer with friends.

Foresight engineers, can you add a create a character feature for online play and have it be like tiger woods pro tour where it shows your player swing?

Seems they are charging another 500 dollars for this now, very disappointed.. was told by sales rep there would be a free upgrade, which is why I got the GC3 a couple weeks ago....

Will FSX Play be Windows only? I think I know the answer is yes.

Sorry Jay, but GSPro has a much better game play. Graphics is one thing but game play is another. Don’t like how when you putt the screen just jumps forward, instead of following the ball all the way. And what’s up with the half shot tracers. It doesn’t trace the ball from the strike. You only get half the tracer in the air. I realize it’s beta, and hoping they fix this stuff.

For your club faces, don't spend the big $$ on the little tabs!!! Buy this tape, works great, 3M - 1/2-50-3430(PK 2) 3430 White Micro Prismatic Sheeting Reflective Tape 0.5" Width x 50 yd Length (Pack of 2). Will last you a lifetime.

According to Foresight staff, the circle shape/size along with the thickness and amount of reflection is actually very important for accuracy. So, I am not sure I would recommend this, but anyone can try what they want if it works for them great.

So I am looking at getting the GC3 (BNLP) for my high school team that I coach and I know we need a computer to run the software with the FSX Play. Are there any laptops that you would recommend, it will basically be used just for the simulator. What are the requirements that you see us needing?

It's all about GPU. They have not released the min spec yet but I would look for something with a RTX 2080 or above. Things are progressing and that will give you solid performance with a projector etc. Thanks for watching! PS computers are slim picking right now with good GPU's so just be patient and shop around.
