    I really can’t understand ppl that mention “0-60 in 10 seconds”... it’s a pickup.

I got mine back in June this year. I LOVE IT!! As for the towing.. there is a back to back test of the 2.0 and the 3.2 on You Tube, where they tow the same huge Caravan on the same route. The 2.0 was more economical and pulled better on hills in a timed run starting at a set speed at the bottom. BTW.. you forgot to mention it actually has double glazing!!

I have now driven some 10k miles in mine and I love it more every day. It truly is the best of both worlds for me. Just some comments; - Only 200W output for the 240V in the rear. - Getting in the trunk is a pain as it isn't knee friendly. I just stuck a flat foldable step in the lid. And I added some wide transparent tape on the top of the lid to avoid 'buckle belt'scratches. - Cover is great. But storage is taking depth from the bed. - I hear no clicks from people here in Spain. It is like a nice girl. Some guys directly smile and try to chat you up. Others look away and later turn their heads when you passed. - The suspension is soft and nice on the roads. And I like the nose dipping when hitting the brake. Nice appearance. - Independant suspension Makes for better road contact in the curves. Also no rear hopping like on leaf springs, designed for loads. - Tyres ain't that expensive. As it isn't low profile, neither high speed specifications. Also the large circumcision make for less revolutions per mile. - Price is high, but also includes lots of options like towbar, bed cover etc. - Sadly there is no option for a front camera. But I have ordered the parts for my DIY front camera addition for under 30 euros. And cleverly made without hardly any wiring.

    - I am also somewhat disappointed that there is no remote starting option on the remote like the USA versions. - And even no central window locking and only driver windows has automatic fully open/close function. - No idea why my text suddenly turned red. - 10-gear automatic is great. But do I use the flippers???? - Added a piggyback chip which promises 256HP and 656Nm. Which is a great number for this car. A bit mor and it would just start skidding, and that's not the purpose of this vehicle. - And Oh yeah, I get challenged very often when leaving my town. By almost any type of car, though mainly sporty ones including Range Rover Sports HSE. But they simple win by reaching the first speedbump. Only to see me jumping past, 4 wheels in the air without any problem. FUN. - Just a great, great car. As long as you don't live in a city. - The closest to a monster truck off the shelf. And every kid loves it. And so am I. For some picture just search for PuraLeñ on Google. Might do a full year owner review later. - Ah, and the Ford Sync 3.3 can be updated rather easily through internet sites. Simply said. Its a car which I want to keep for a long long time. And off road, the faster, the better. And without speed traps. Which would be useless anyway by the amount of dust it throws up. So following isn't possible either and close in within a mile. - Pure fun. And literally a big boys toy.

I am glad to see a truck up there in Ireland. I sell Rangers here in Colorado. Yours has some nice features and a diesel engine. I wish we had the Rock slider/running boards and the rolling bed cover. I laugh everytime you say it is "huge" or "compensating". I would love to get you in a real F150 Raptor or a Platinum F-350. That is compensating without compromise. Did you say 60,000 euro? That is crazy for a Ranger. You can buy two Rangers in the USA for that have more horsepower and the steering wheel would be in the "right" side. Keep up the good work.

Feel like you’re describing a whole different vehicle to my experience. Tows my 2.5t boat like it’s not there. No issue hitting 150+kph from 100 in under 5 seconds when overtaking. Just traded up to 2l FX4 ranger from the 3.2 - heaps more power, feels much faster, much more economical, tows better. Ranger tows 3.5t raptor only 2.5t as the suspension can’t handle same payload, but has better articulation and baja mode etc.

Don't know about The Republic but in the UK it has a massive competitive disadvantage for any business user. Since it doesn't carry over a ton payload it does not class as a dual purpose vehicle so it is taxed in every way as a car. Not only is the VAT not reclaimable but neither is normal tax relief on purchase and the road duty [tax] is something ridiculous. Another significant disadvantage for many is its reduced tow rating, way down from the Wildtrak's 3.5 tons. So no towing your mini-digger behind this. Business users, which make up the vast majority of people who buy new pickups, will get almost everything you get on this on the Wildtrak which will be at least 30% cheaper to run overall. The ride of the latest Wildtrak running on rear leaves, isn't at all bad but not quite up to the coils on the back of this Raptor. This is a flagship show model for rich kids to play with as a weekend car to complement their Aston Martin. Just look at the car or SUV you can choose for the same sort of money.

In answer to your question partially they are not classed as a comercial vehicle due to the weight carrying limit in the rear tub. My Wildtrak has a rear carrying capacity of over 1000kg so classified as a comercial vehicle. (Keeping it as it’s a fantastic truck). My new raptor has a rear carrying limit of around 680kg so is not classed as a comercial vehicle unfortunately. The towing capacity is also not 3.5ton like the Wildtrak. With the raptor you can’t claim all the VAT back either. Hope that helps and I will be doing a full side by side review of both the raptor and Wildtrak side by side on my other KZread Chanel The Vintage Restorer when the raptor arrives in a few weeks time.

It's a nice bus but the price is ridiculous over here. You could buy yourself a wildtrak, fit it out better than the raptors suspension set up and still have change I'd say. Also load rating is lower than the standard rangers and in the UK the raptor isn't classed as a commercial with regard to tax. Also Ford are currently selling off 2019 stock on 20 plates so some are missing the remote start function and assisted parking features.

@@roninesce8362 Higher capacity motor means less strain on the motor, even for towing. Nissan went down this track years ago when they went from the 4.2L down to the 3.0L TD. The nissans eventually suffered from blown motors because the turbos failed. A lot of people recognised the issues before the motors blew and changed the turbos to aftermarket. Even today people are going into mechanical workshops with their nissan patrols having to replace either the turbo or motor. The same could be said for the new rangers going from 3.2L down to 2L. But it makes it worse that they have 2 turbos rather then one. Even more problems in the future. But the gearboxes on the rangers are another big issue and another story all together.

You are basically paying for the suspension setup on this vehicle and the video didn't begin to explore that. None of the roads shown would give even a 4x2 a problem never mind one with a rear diff lock. Not sure about those side steps either, what's the point of having holes that stones can shoot through on a gravel road? These are built in South Africa for European RHD markets but i don't seem to remember the local ones having the perforated steps.
