If I was in the UK you'd have to consider the 2.0 bi turbo Wildtrak over the 2.0 bi turbo Raptor purely for those ridiculous UK tax implications which the Raptor doesn't pass. Added to that, the 2.0 bi turbo Wildtrak is actually faster off the mark than the 2.0 bi turbo Raptor and uses less fuel. The UK tax implications might also explain why the Wildtrak doesn't come with the rear roller shutter as standard in the UK direct from the factory unlike many other countries. The roller shutter pulls the Payload below the magic 1000kg minimum for the Wildtrak to be considered as commercial vehicle for BIK tax purposes.

@@fenderman21guitar if you are looking to claim the UK BIK commercial vehicle tax concession, then you won't be able to do it with a Raptor as it's payload is significantly under the minimum 1000kg set by the HMRC in order to be classed as a commercial vehicle. Not forgetting that Ford are going to debut the all new next generation Ranger before the end of the year (possibly even this month) which is expected to see a 3.0 V6 Raptor in the line up as well as the same engine being fitted to the Wildtrak (I believe 2.0 Bi Turbo will continue to be available). Although, the UK is frustratingly often at the bottom of the role out list when it comes to the Ranger and may well not see the new model for up to a year after its release in other countries such as Australia.

Ahh thanks, I have seen a few videos of a couple of models such as the stormtrak and wolftrak but it seems no information is coming out about when they are actually available in the uk

@@fenderman21guitar they're both run out models of the current Ranger which will probably help Ford UK keep it going for around another year after the all new model is released elsewhere around the world in the very near future. For some reason, Ford are slow to release the latest models of the Ranger in the UK and had kept the PX2 Ranger as the current model around a year after the PX3 and Raptor had already been introduced in Australia and Asia. I purchased my PX3 Wildtrak in Australia in September 2018. I was back in the UK in August 2019 and I was surprised to see the PX2 still being sold as the latest model at the local Ford dealer who told me that the PX3 was still a couple of months off from being released over there.

The only thing that lets it down is the infotainment screen looked dated from day one it reminds me of a satnav screen on a 12 year old Audi A4 the way it’s recessed into the dash !

Very good review!! I drive the Ranger Raptor since about 18 months and i can tell you guys, this truck is pure fun! Heads and shoulders above everything else i have driven so far - perfect on and off road. And yes, the engine sound you hear inside is artificial but i still like it...-))

Yes I know, reviewed it several times in the UAE, love that thing!

When I select reverse it tells me there is a trailer attached when there isn’t. My lines and beebs are not working because of this

@@djrichimc I really don't know what the problem is. But I'm a journalist not a mechanic. However that sounds like a sensor issue and that could cause problems with the driver assist systems, so I would urge you to visit a dealer or service centre.

Hello!

Very weak toy. After 50 th km its just a piece of junk. Its a ford joke. Most expensiv sticker raptor ever. No money worth. Check right front weel. Its loos from day one but you People drive only in the city. Its very weak toy .
