It is possible that this does work in a 2010 & 2011? However it does not in our 2012...I have to have a new key cut and programed for it!

I have a 2012 ford fusion. I wrapped the remote key with foil. The key indicator blinked to indicate that it did not read the chip. But in set up, there is no reset for mykey. It only showed 1 admin key programmed. 1 mykey programmed. But no way to reset it.

This works for keyless remote start cars. Some people have had luck with bladed keys by emulating the remote start by running a KOER test in FORScan and then blocking the transponder in the bladed key with aluminum foil. I'll try it soon and update with results.

Not necessarily. You can find a local lock smith who makes keys. Buy a second key and that will fix it. Dealer might charge you double for the same thing.

I have a 2018 Lincoln and there isn't a key to use. Then how can I turn it off?

No. I would recommend you to call local locksmith and they will make you second key. You can remove my key after that

The best way is call to the local lock smith to make a second key which will run you about 100$ and you can reset my key settings if this trick doesn’t work for your vehicle.

According to the replies I get it works for 2010-11 Taurus but others says it didn’t work for escape, fusion, fiesta. You can try for expedition and see if it works

Unfortunately this application doesn’t work for focus. I would recommend you to call local lock smith and get a second key so you can delete my key.

I went to a locksmith and had a new key made on the spot. To my surprise, the new key also happened to be on my key limitations.. any help?

I have talked to my local Lock smith this morning and they said it’s something that they can fix for $95. You should talk to your lock smith and see what they say.

Hello everyone. So far from the comments I come to the conclusion this works only for 2010-2011 Taurus Models with regular key. You are free to try with other models on your own risk but I just wanted to let everyone know. If this doesn’t work for you there is only other option left. You will need to buy second key. Local lock smith charges anywhere from $80 to $240 for Ford keys. That’s only the way you can get your issue fixed. Thank you

I have a 2011 and this procedure works up until scrolling through the setup menu, I see no options to clear mykey or anything similar. However, I know the foil is doing it’s job as I see the same blinking light and “mykey active” is not displayed when I turn on the car. Any ideas?

It works for 2010 Taurus for sure. Button called set up. Yes showed on the video and it worked for many others. So it makes a good sense bro

@@glenieshaelliott1750 try exactly what I did but it probably won’t work for 2012 fusion. Your best bet is gonna be calling to the lock smith and getting second key which will automatically be admin key so you can turn off my key option. It will run you about 60-100$

This will not work if you don't have the Admin key! Don't get me wrong , if you wrap the non admin key with alum foil it will also do what he shows and cause that light to flash, but... in this video, he is using the admin key, which also can be locked out ....however, if you are using the other key, it WILL NOT, give you the "press reset to create my key" setting!
