Man this is one beautiful car! Glad to see it back in a video! These older vehicles are a lot easier to diag and work on! Well, most of the time anyways. True you can’t hook up a computer and have it tell you which BCM isn’t communicating with the ECU, but you don’t have any of that so guess it depends on how you look at it lol but these old vehicles are DEFINITELY much easier to work on!! More room and less electronics!! Lol good to see the Lincoln back on the channel! Will be basically a “new” car when you’re done with it though!! God bless~

Got a 79 mark v looks similar to yours. My sending unit goes from 50 to 100 ,I don't know why yours was so expensive. Problem my cable got 3 cables instead of 2 ,and the sending unit only 2. Tninking on replace the tank, my looks really bad inside.Tanks for the video.

I have an 88 Town Car, My gas gauge doesn’t work properly. It’s digital. I replaced the sending unit, same problem. The fuel gauge seems to be working the opposite way. When full reads empty and when empty reads fuel. Do you think I have to replace dashboard cluster gauge?

I have a 1979 lincoln continental town car, I got home and my car wouldn't turn off, even though I unplugged the battery, it turned off when I unplugged the ignition coil, could it be my ignition lock cylinder or my ignition switch? Thanks🙂

It could be the ignition switch. Next time it does that check for power on the positive terminal on the coil. If there's power there even with the key off then you have to figure out why.

Nice video.Question Ordered a new tank and the new thank came with a metal tubing attached Inside the top on the new tank. Any idea whT that tube is for?
