I had experienced a similar issue, only the dashboard light was shorted/burned out, and the car resorted to its annoying sequential beeping. We ended up having the car scanned; to my surprise, the code that popped up indicated that there was an airbag sensor failure-I just had to find out which sensor it was. I checked all locations, and you'll never guess what I found: the right-hand side-impact airbag sensor (behind the passenger B-pillar trim) was entirely missing from the car. I ordered a replacement, popped it in, and I've had no issues since. My case was quite a rare one. So glad it was resolved, and that it was not something more significant.

First.... And, Ah yes, the horrors or having a flashing airbag light. This happened in my (used to have) crown vic. The flash it was giving indicated a short to ground somewhere. Ended up being a bad connection to the LCM. Never had an issue with it after that. This was a couple of years ago too.

Mr. Dad, I had the exact same problem which I fixed by replacing it with a new bulb and housing.

What was the code how many times did it flash

I think I had the same problem with my 2010 CVPI. In my case the actual light had fallen back inside the casing and when I tried to pokes around to grab it I must have tripped something because ever since then the airbag light on the dash stopped flashing on. Can you tell me what sort of LED you bought for that fix? Thanks!

yeah, it's definitely not a "button" just an indicator light

It’s like a cheap set of Christmas tree lights. One bulb goes out and you have to call off the whole holiday. I have a switch in the door latch in the drivers door that tells me that the door is ajar and now my interior light doesn’t work and all the bells and whistle’s coming from the dashboard don’t work. The worst thing about it, is my defroster doesn’t work for the back window. Drives me nuts.

No, when I turn the car on, the airbag light flashes 9 times, then turns off, then flashes 9 more times and repeats until eventually it just stays on and then gives me 5 warning chimes.

Mine went out a few months back $16 from Ford!

I hope he doesn't get blood on his hands surgical gloves oh my God I was on Afghanistan border working for the dod. We had a guy assigned to the fire trucks I swear to God he acted just like the guy off of True Lies the one that pissed himself when Arnold Schwarzenegger held him over the damn wall.. he wore gloves and sat at the computer all day and didn't work on the crash trucks on the air base. I was the foreman pulled out the air filter it looked like something out of a John Deere Combine in Iowa doing soybeans the battery cable ends look like they were growing something in a lab for 50 years. And the bad part was the dude was just a squirrely as the guy off of True Lies. Nothing to do with a gentleman in the video but it just reminded me of this clown that worked for me. We had a meeting of the whole maintenance department and I told this guy he needed to go back to the United States and go back to basic 101 mechanic school I think he cried real alligator tears
