Ford Bronco Raptor Meets Jeep Wrangler, Mercedes G-Wagen, Land Rover Defender - Jason Cammisa ICONS

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The following video features driving performed under the supervision of professionals. Hagerty does not recommend anyone try this at home or attempt to recreate any activity performed in this video as it may result in personal injury or property damage.
What car screams all American authenticity, raw off-road power, and represents a full-circle piece of automotive history? We give you, the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor.
In this episode of ICONS, Jason Cammisa reviews the Ford Bronco Raptor, alongside the Jeep Wrangler 392, the Mercedes G63 AMG, and the Land Rover Defender 90 V8. Jason puts the BRaptor to the test, to see if it can compare to these three legendary off-road vehicle brands.
We'll take you overlanding (sort of) into the off-road mecca of the Bronco, as well as into the more 'realistic' suburban Starbucks laden lands, to put the Raptor to the ultimate test. Does the Ford Bronco namesake, reanimated from its 1970's grave, stack up against these three well established automotive Icons? Is this new Raptor revival a practical vehicle for the modern driver? And what differentiates the Bronco Raptor from the baseline Bronco, Bronco Heritage, or Bronco Sport?
Join automotive journalist Jason Cammisa on his journey, as he discusses if the new Bronco Raptor is truly 'Built Wild,' or should be exiled...

Did I miss the actual comparison in the video? It starts and finished with 'Bronco Raptor Wins' & 'defecates on all other vehicles'. I didn't see any explanation of that? As example, the Jeep 392 has more horsepower, more torque, weighs less, solid axles, and perhaps most importantly for off-roading - has substantially smaller proportions. How is the BR besting that? I'm not saying it doesn't, but would be good if Jason explained...

@Neel.Blair think you missed the point. He said : “ I know this thing looks like a G-wagon or a Defender or even a Jeep, but the Bronco Raptor is in a different league entirely” the bronco raptor is a factory race truck you would never buy without the intention of using for what it was designed for. Ford left the competition behind. Wrangler would snap in half trying to keep up. Bronco Raptor also qualifies for some Baja 1000 and mint 400 classes. You can really race it. Not that you care you probably drive a moped. The part about bland and boring cars that part was for you.

Going through the woods or a tight draw, width is one of the things that stop all the newer 4x4. Being 10 inches wider than a stock Bronco is a big add, although that helps explain the stability from tipping over or sliding. I wish someone would make a small 4x4 as capable as this machine, say the size of a Suzuki Jimmy, tons of axel travel and lockers front, center, back, and armored belly.

As an F150 Raptor owner I love that Ford nailed it with this vehicle as well! And weirdly just like the truck Raptor I bet people discover how good of a daily they are even when you're not sending it in the desert. Ultra comfy because of the suspension, prodigious power, stable even with all the body roll because of the wide track, great in inclement weather and BTW left lane slowpokes nearly always pull over because of the height and aggressive grill.
