The old Ford 8n is long past due for a tune up. It has been ran hard for probably two years since the last time it saw any new parts! I knew it was coming, but just haven’t had time to do some work on it. Now there is no other option. She said enough was enough. Now I am doing a tune up in a rush to get the garden ready for planting.
These old tractors run amazing when they do. When they don’t they just flat out don’t. Which is exactly what mine is now doing. Lucky I ordered everything I needed to do a full tune up on the tractor months ago. Or so I thought. The kit I ordered came with points, wires, plugs, cap, and a condenser. All the main parts you need.
As I started I found out the kit left much to be desired. The points were garbage and no gaskets were included. To top that off the condenser was even wrong. Therefore I will not recommend this kit for your 8n with a front mount distributor. I will link it below so you know what not to buy.
I am no expert tractor mechanic. I hope by sharing my experience others they can take something away from it. If it’s just a good laugh that’s fine by me. Thank you to all who have watched, liked, commented, and subscribed!
