I like when she’s tight. If you don’t have a distributor cam wick with distributor cam lube on it then your points will get hot and eventually burn up. Cars have it so why doesn’t a tractor? If your have no slot for a cam wick holder then you need to put a thin layer of distributor cam grease on the distributor cam lobe where the points rub. Get your mig welder out and fill in the huge slot in the points screws then cut a new slot. Don’t replace it with a normal bolt. Next time you go hunting for a distributor cap, look for one with brass or copper towers. The silver metal ones are junk.

Those triangle files with the flattened corners look like little saw files for sharpening hand saws

Now that cap inside the distributor is awesome definitely don't see those often because they either get misplaced or thrown out, that is original to the factory distributors!

How big are your containers bill? Just 20 footers by the look of them. Have you ever had to move them? If so were they hard to move or very heavy? I need to purchase one myself to store antique tractors in, but due to the mountain that I live on and uneven ground we don't have room to get a truck in to unload it, so it'll have to be unloaded on the road side and moved. So just curious.

The way to do things is replace the points , condenser, wires, rotor and cap

I would just order a whole new distributor and points. There is a lot of corrosion and pitting. Corrosion on the wires to. The points are off by a few thousands. There worn out.
