Just bought a Ferguson 35 1962 and can’t wait to do this. After watching you do it… I feel like somebody needs a mic drop. That’s how it’s done boys and girls. Any of the old Bush hogs work better than others or anything that’s still alive today from the 70s and 80s is probably pretty damn good? Need to go out and buy one and not sure what direction to take.

Just know. My tractor has the Howard Reduction Gear so it enables me to drive slow enough to cut stuff this thick!

I love the 8N. I love how capable they are. I have a ‘52 and a ‘39 9N. Not because I need them but because I love them (I only have 2 acres). I love finding uses for them. Just today, I pulled a tree out of the ground and she didn’t even miss a beat.

Great tractors I have 2 8N’s both are 49 mods. My grandpa bought one new and I saved the other from rusting in a field. It’s a daily used tractor now.

It’s amazing how an old girl and sharp blades can clear a field!! Love it!!

Does your 8n have any type of gear reduction?

Yes, it has a Howard Gear Reduction which slows down the ground speed, but doesn’t slow down the pto speed. Low gear is about .8 mph

If you could somehow mount the mower in front...
