    That is an old bush hog, not many new ones could handle this video. Just look at the angle bracing on the deck, don't see that with new equipment.

    Nice job,takes me right back,looks to be really dry underneath 👍 I used to do this sort of thing in the winter in the UK,real hard on the poor machine with mostly wet wood, bramble and thick tall grass,great fun 😉

    Smart thinking removing the tail wheel for this job. It would’ve been bent or broken off when backing into the debris. Smart thinkin stopping to snack on some berries too!

    Have a ford 3600 looking to buy a bush hog for it to clear some property. I've watched the skid steer clearing and the mini excators too. This seems way easier unless your are mulching big wood. People on mini ex would take like one week to do what you did lol.

    That's a tough old tractor what is a MF235 or 245 only suggestion I have is run your engine almost full throttle you need to get the tip speed up on the mower it will cut better even though it was cutting pretty good the blades must have been pretty sharp

    Now THAT is a bush hog video! It's really the first one I've seen it's actually cutting bushes and brush. All the other ones are just tall grass and weeds with the occasional 6-month-old sampling in there.

    Heavy duty bush hog blades are the best way to describe them. The are probably 25 years old... Probably could use a new set. Thanks for watching

    This is an actual bush hog brand and it is old, I don' t know if they make them like this anymore. I don't think the new ones would be this tough. Thanks for watching.

    @@chud327 That's an old 305. Those had 1/4 plate steel in the sides and 3/16 in the top with reinforced top bracing. 5 footers were over 800#. 6 footers were over 1000#. Rated to cut 3" saplings. Those are the hogs that made Bush Hog famous. My father sold them back in the 60's. Great footage. Thanks.

    Definitely don't want to try that on a new tractor. They put all the important filters tanks and reservoirs under drivers station. Its like manufacturers expect you to only do already cleared land work.

    I've got a 1949 Ford 8n tractor and it won't do anything like that. All I use it for is plowing my garden. Disking my garden. And tilling my garden. And it depends on how good my tractor is running at that given time I might even Bush hog my garden too.

    I sold my Ford 851 this spring and bought a TYM 264. That old Ford had way more power but without 4x4 I got stuck and tore up things too often. The 851 is like twice the machine an 8N is if you were wondering.

    I got a 1940 Ford 9n and i just mowed my fields and then did some bush hogging nothing that big but stick about 2 to 3 inches took a bit to get it all chopped up stupid locust tree haha

    Turn that baby up so it will cut and not load the driveline up it needs that rpm so it will just cut,running at low speed is hard on everything imo good vid tho I got one like yours and s old howse 60s and just bought a new bush-whacker hd-72 and it's the real deal

    I am not sure, my older cousin bought it about 40 years ago, but I think it was called a "Bush Hog / Squealer / 600 or 5 feet wide.. I don't know if they make them like that any more. Thanks so much and hopefully you can google and find one like it. Thanks for watching.

    I am not sure what a gimbal it, are you talking on the drone? What ever the stock ratio is, I mowed most of it in first gear. Thanks for watching.

    @@chud327 It is easy to find out the gear ratio of the mulcher's gearbox. You make a line on the input shaft with a marker and also on the output shaft. You watch how many times the output turns for one revolution of the input. It is usually 1:2. I still have a question about the PTO of your tractor. Can you switch to the PTO even higher speeds? For example, it is possible on modern tractors.

    WTF happened to the trees? lol. Im being dead serious. there is no type of bagger mechanism I can see. did it literally pulverize them beyond the 1080p resolution? If so that is awesome. new property owner here doing research on various equipment needed to take proper care of the land.
