Thanks Chris! Yes, I did find some things that need attention. If this winter goes anything like the last few have, it will warm up and melt in a week or two.

Yup. Snow over the weekend, cold this week. Supposed to be above normal again next week, will probably all melt! The older you get the more you appreciate a warm place to work.

Just did a 3000 steering box. I found a pilot bearing puller worked great for that lower bearing.

Ha! I set the correct time and date on my knock-off Go Pro once. It didn't stay, so to hell with it 🙂

That up and down movement operates the steering valve, a little movement is necessary, but with the thrust bearing bad it's probably extensive! Good luck

My brother and I went through my 3000 in 2021 never got new secter shafts but the steering shaft had the same problem with rust we bought a new one we used broken tractor for my parts if it's any help
