I had TSgt Rosales, man was intimidating as hell. But he was a phenomenal instructor.

No way I had Msgt Blackstock, Tsgt Rosales and Tsgt Gonzales back with the 433
Had MSgt Blackstock for a few days when I joined back in 2016. He was a newer TI then and a tech. Definitely intense but had a good heart, glad to see he made Master
Tsgt. Jack Lozano, Tsgt. Issac King, MSgt, Michelle Armour, MSgt. Matt Wester MSgt. Michael Hernandez you guys all hold a very special place in my heart, and I look forward to getting commissioned as an Officer soon.
1994 Flight W039 MTI Ppas, best man ever! I cried leaving basic, because I knew it not only changed my life but it saved it
The only MTI I ever saw up close and personal was strutting around in a Wal-Mart in his blue Smokey. Seemed to me he was trying to be a Billy Bad Ass - kind of a Marine Drill Instructor wannabe without the stones to do it. Semper Fi - accept no substitute.

Great to see MSgt Blackstock
I'm curios as to why there are MSgt's training flights. Back in my day in the 80's it was SrA - Tsgt (mostly SSgt's) and even a very few A1C's, believe it or not. MSgts were section supervisors. That aside, MSgt. Blackstock impresses me as a consummate professional.

It’s now SSgts - MSgts now after a sexual assault scandal that occurred a few years back they stopped allowing SrA to be MTIs
Ssgt. Hawkins. 1992 from the old 02. Made blue rope and TSgt. just after the completion of my flight... 549. "Cold as ice... Twice as nice!"
Good to learn what you must. You come out the winner.
As much as I hated TSgt Oates, he grew my ass up...something my own parents couldn't do. Life is a love/hate relationship.
It will be interesting to see over time, the teeny weenie center rank insignia on yet another uniform pattern. If you are enlisted you want BIG strips for everyone to see, especially if you are in the top 3.
He seems nicer that the maniac TI had in 1992.
My father went through Air Force basic in 1961. He pre dated the Smokey the bear hats. I don’t think they were as nice then!😂
