I had a drill sergeant that dressed up in trainee PT gear and just waltzed into our bay while we were just chillin. Legit no one noticed 😂😂, and he just waltzed around aimlessly for a while trolling us😂

One's I heard a lot: "Are you kidding me?" "Absolutely not!" "Strips these beds!" "What a waste of time!" One of the funniest moments is when one of the EC guys wore their name tape wrong. "Are you kidding me? Hurry up and open the door Trainee AIR FORCE! Hurry up and close the door Trainee AIR FORCE!"

Graduated from basic a week ago and one of my MTI sayings in the mornings during wake up was “ Hurry up, let’s go. Get on my wall!

My favorite is “Are you on a reporting statement waiver?”

“You maggots!!” That’s what I remember the most…and “sir trainee dumbass” as well as “step, pivot, step, pivot, pivot on the left, pivot on the left” and “steady, steady go, march from the waiste down”.

My favorite I heard from my MTI was, “Is that what we do, stand at the position of cool”.

Definitely finna say Too Easy! after every workout now!!!

When someone didn’t say their reporting statement: “sir, trainee would’ve been nice.”

" I swear to god You gotta be OSI, you make me wanna do something illegal right now."

"GET YOUR WHOLE FRICKIN LIFE TOGETHER!"

My favorite was from SSgt (Now TSgt) Trivitt. Whenever he needed us up or do to something it was, "Holy crap Trainee. Hurry up hurry up hurry up!"

Nah our drill sergeants cussed at us and cussed us out like there was no tomorrow

Had an MTI that always got in a trainiees way just so he could say “excuse me sergeant… SAY IT!”

Lmfao just got out a month ago we got a lot of “LETS GO” “GET IN STEP” “FLIGHT CANT GET RIGHT” “HOLY COW” and “GET YOUR FRICKIN LIFE TOGETHER”

Favorite one was “Where’s my hat?! Where’s my hat?!” When you would come down the stairs and not put your cover on IMMEDIATELY

My MSgt MTI from Oklahoma's thing was, "Trackin'??" after every explanation, question or demonstration. "This is how you hold your weapon, Trackin'?" "Negative, that's not how we do it in Voodoo. Trackin'?" The other MTI from Texas would say, "Hey, I don't have time for this, I don't" in the most dismissive tone you can imagine. When you messed up his timeline, he didn't yell, he just made you feel like a dissapointment. Both were incredible NCOs and I owe a lot of what I imagine excellence to look like from those two men.

Wow! Things seem very different than they were in '96. For starters, I don't recall anyone calling us "Trainee". That term was used only in written documentation. We were called Airmen, immediately from the first day of zero week. Most common phrases from all of the TIs: "Yo, Airman!" "Do you have a clue?" "Step steady step!" "Give me a 341!" "6 magic words!"

Chillin in our dorm in the evening with our lights low. MTI walks in: Why are y’all in the dark?!? Do y’all think y’all are Batman?!? I’m Batman!! I tried for about 20 minutes not to laugh lol

“Make it make sense trainee!”

Mine always told us "Do you job." It really stuck with me. I should do my job. It may only be to align shoes, but it's my job nonetheless. If you're ever uncertain of how to proceed, start by doing your job.

Looking at this now being in the Air Force for almost 6 months has me dead. I also noticed some of those dorms like I'm pretty sure the blonde at 1:26 was that Keesler AFB. I had my text school there until I get reclassed into another career field

My MTI said they were allowed to cuss as long as they don’t use it to insult someone. He also said that they say “piss” a lot bc a lot of them are in their 30s or so and when they joined that was used a lot

One of my MTI's loved to walk into the bay and go were quiet after telling everyone to study and then would go everyone on your face

It wasn't even my MTI it was my sisters flight, their Male MTI was a this HULK of a man and looked like a bulldog(heard he was a teddy bear though), every morning heading out for PT, in the stairwell he'd always yell down at everyone, "LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO, STOP SMOKIN AN JOKIN IT'S TIME TO GET SWOLE!"

You only sometimes say it in tech school, and in operational you only say it to an officer if you’re reporting to their office.

@@SmittyC-hf9zt just graduated bmt, there was a female MTI with short hair that everyone thought was a male every time. She would have to grill pretty much every trainee in the first week for calling her male. Don’t assume you can just tell all the time

Oh Sgt Wolliver! I did not like that guy when I was in bmt, but I'm glad him and Sgt Alvarado stayed in my a**. I find myself saying, " It's a good thing I'm here" -Sgt. Wolliver, all the time now. This whole video got me feeling nostalgic. 😭🥰
