I know this video is old but I feel like you did this commander justice. Obviously flavor wise there's no way to keep the 40k theme with upgrades, but out of all the other deck upgrade videos I've seen yours come the closest. At least no critters, tentacles and weird tokens being generated 😅. I'll defenitly take some ideas and modify my current built of this deck, I value flavor more than power level, but if I can have both is a win win for me.

Try Card conjurer to print your upgrades with custom artworks. I'll do this for over one year now for all the 40k precons

@@lion7979 I actually proxied all my 40k decks with custom 40k arts. I'm very proud of my work and I got more than 300 proxies for all 4 decks. The sad part is that where I live the shipping costs to import the proxies from China is really high so I just printed some in one of my local printing shops but the quality is not so great....shame because I spent so many hours int his project.

I'll be the one who says it, because I have an unhealthy addiction to both of these cards: Cathars' Crusade and Field of the Dead. I may or may not have use these two in practically every deck I play because I may or may not play almost exclusively different flavours of tokens.

I've not seen anybody playing biotransference. With the great amount of artifacts that you need for ramp and the great deal of creatures that you play i think that its worth playing.

Consider a Nadir Kraken. Kraken + Tithe + Divine Visitation. Can be played on curve, besides the commander. And make opponents sweat. Everytime they draw and don't pay 2. You get a treasure, draw a card, trigger Kraken sac the treasure, put a +1 on it, make a 4/4 angel draw another card. Can continue if you want to invest mana or just wait for more opponents to draw more cards.

Smothering tithe in deck is bonkers as is nadir kraken. Looking forward to building this guy

Calgar was the first Warhammer commander I built after getting into the series. I personally love anything involving tokens, and I too lost my mind when Smothering Tithe started ramping me and drawing cards at once. The moment I read him I just said "Well this is abusable". It's funnier if you're trying to go wide, and you Lithoform Engine his ability and spit out four tokens, or eight with Procession out. He's really enjoyable, but I feel ashamed for not seeing the Ashnod's Altar tech in there with Training Grounds. That I'll have to add.
