I love protect the negotiators with calgar, I have used it many times and I’ve been lucky to have a bunch of tokens out so the counter resolved plus I make a token, and draw a card in someone else’s turn!

This guy is CRAZY good! Really thematic from the lore too!

High Tech deck Tech! Much fun on the games with it. Don't think I kan make the stream saturday, but will try. Already put up a question on other post, but maybe you could also ask: Is the commity "consulted" / involved in gameplay for new sets. Specially the commander sets? This in regards to synergy and banning. Much fun and a fine day. 🤘🦁🤘

I absolutely love the decklist, personally I am more of a degenerate who loves infinite mana so I tend to lean more into the treasure token generation and esper value.

Glad you like it, it's definitely a strong mid range commander for sure. I am in a tournament for February where you have to use a precon commander and I was thinking of building this for it. It's at a 250 budget though so it might be a little tight.

Love the idea of the deck, how consistent would you say you get to these combos?

Oh a $200 budget it isn't super consistent. You'd need to add in more tutors if you're looking for more consistency. The commander does have solid card draw though, so that helps at a lower budget if he isn't killed on sight.

So how does the gameplan change with the $300 version? It clearly has less creatures and more instants.

The deck wants to combo out with infinite mana from isocrhon scepter and dramatic reversal. Your commander provides both creature generation and card draw for the infinite mana. Once you can draw the majority of your deck you can play time sieve and take the extra turn needed to win vis combat with your 2/2 army. With infinite mana you can also create infinite 1/1 flyers with thopter foundry and sword of the meek. With the amount of tutors and card draw you'll be able to find the combo pieces and have counter spell back up to go off. Just remember that your commander's ability to draw when a token enters is a must, so be careful using him as your mana sink.
