Former boxer just into my first month of Muay Thai. This explanation helps a lot. I could feel something was wrong when I felt my leg would seem to be limited by the stance I ended up in when I switch kicked. This completely explained my problem and I will make this adjustment tonight at practice!

That’s awesome to hear! 🙏🏼 It’s a huge adjustment from Boxing to Muay Thai and the other way around. Once you get the stance change down it should start to come together more and more 👊🏼🙌🏼

Can you talk more about hip pivot during kicks? I started very recently and ma having trouble throwing the hips in with the kick.
