Thank you! I barely made promotion to VNL with Bognor Regis and struggled a lot in the league. After employing this tactic and getting a decent winger I managed to snap 3 away wins in a row!

Hi Mate ; first thank you for keeping this channel a live keep the good work ♥ then :) , i found that main training setup is not only effect attributes , but also effects on the next match , and this is very realistic you know why ? sure if you keep train your players on passing using ball control setup . there will be no Logic if you played on counter or defensive shape on match day while using ball control as main training setup !!! so you maybe using fitness and some defending training , with this tactic and that's why it worked for you perfectly , for my tactic i use ball control as i'm playing in control shape , and when there is a long international games or more than one weak off without any games , i change that to attacking or tactical with sometimes fitness or defending , but the main training setup is always ball control as i want them to control , so for me i think its really effects on the match itself not only attributes , for me that's make more sense , i need your opinion here mate . what do you think ? ------------------- ♥

Can't believe changing out my passing mids with a bwm and cm and telling the lads to close down more was all I needed to do. We are now chopping after three hard seasons. Cheers.

Was excited to try this. Sadly it didn't really work out. I started as Mickleover Sports in the Regional Premier League. The squad (after transfers) wasn't too shabby, I definitely felt that with the right tactic (and this looked like the right tactic) that I might be in with a shot of promotion. Sadly my form was all over the place. Home form was especially bad. There was certainly no way that I could leave the tactic as it was mid-game because the opposition regularly turned the tide with a tactical change. I got to mid-season and it was just clear that the inconsistency wasn't going away.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. The tactic should work with most sides however not all. Sometimes a small change to suit the players and their attributes at your club will make a big impact or just small changes from game to game to adjust to your opponents which could be anything from changing your defensive line by 1 notch or asking you right back to attack rather than support.

This tactic got me to the second tier in Spain with Badalona on FM Touch. It seems like the opposition has figured me out now.

Thanks again for introducing such a great tactic for LLM. I have used a similar 4-4-2 for my Concord Rangers save (at least the same roles for all the position but with less PI / TI). We are now moved to L1 after 3 successive promotions! But I found a serious problem in my full backs. They usually got very low ratings in the game (average rating about 6.6 - 6.7). Can you suggest some changes to solve the problem or are there any essential attributes required for the full backs to perform well? I found that the tackle percentage / passing percentage of the full backs are actually quite high. Therefore I have no idea why they have such a low average rating.

Kin Chung Chu in my tactic I didn't really expect much from my FB. They're really there as an option pass and to just mark the opponent winger. No real key passes and no key tackles the FB will get poor ratings. If you want your FB to attack than he needs workrate, off the Ball, crossing and stamina for a more defensively solid FB positioning, tackle, marking

Hiya mate Trying this with Hungerford town. Finding fair success (predicted 23rd sitting 6th in December first season). This included a cracking run of form against far better sides early on. I’m finding some inconsistencies but I believe that may be due to now having adequate wage budget to sign a better quality player than I have. Better players for each role = better results. However I wanted to pick your brain on the mentality and structure. I find that sometimes playing standard leaves us making chances but not getting them on target as often as I’d like, then we could end up losing to a “lucky” goal. Or some matches I start on standard and end up 3-0 down in 25 mins only to switch to counter and play slightly better. Any tips on how to make it a little more consistent? Possibly asking all players to ‘shoot less often’ might help. How much did you change or tweak in your earlier seasons? Again I feel this is a great tactic I just would like to see how it plays when I can build up a better team of players. Thanks

I tweaked the tactic very little tbh. Playing lower down you will notice a lot of inconsistency as your players are pretty poor. I did notice my players wasting chances a fair bit and that's when I put on work the ball in to box. I'd suggest looking at your game stats to see what players a wasting opportunities and maybe asking those players to shoot less often.

Great tactic! But I have one question to ask. Can I change the target man to a DLF / Defensive Forward if I don't have a 'big' striker for the target man role?

Kin Chung Chu yeah I would still keep tackle hard and close down more especially in the lower leagues to force a mistake from the centre halfs

Hey mate, for this tactic I didn't want to over complicate things by adding Opposition instructions so I've left them blank for the most part. Of course if I see something in game that needs to change I'll add the odd instruction.

Is a counter tactic the main reason for advancing so quickly? So with an attacking, oriented tactic there is a slimmer outlook?

For most of the save I was using a standard tactic and I switched just in the last year to counter. Counter can be good in the lower leagues because I've found most lower league sides tend to play long balls or commit too many players forward without any real skill or direction so with your line sitting back you can make the most of any counter opportunities

It doesn't happen often but I would change it to standard but drop my defensive line. That way I'll increase the risk up front but still hold my deep line.

You could but just keep an eye out on you defense when your opponent is on the counter a CM(a) and a BBM might be too far advanced up the field to deal with it

i've been playing with quite a similar tactic as yours with the 442 and from VRN up to championship division. but how do u tackle the problem with moving up so high so fast? i still have a 7k stadium capacity and financially, i can't make my team as strong as the division i'm in. ty

Sham Neo I normally cut a lot of players each year and then get 5-6 good loan players and look to free transfers and get them in on trial to see if they're any good.

try my tactic , hope you will like it , i'm not a youtuber so i will write it here , hope you get it , :) 4 2 3 1 ------- sweeper keeper ( s ) ---------------------------------------- R - inverted wing back ( s ) central defender ( d ) ball playing defender ( d ) L - full back ( a ) ------------------------------------- R - roaming play maker L - deep laying play maker ( d ) - or - Ball winning Mid ( D ) --------------------------------------------- R - Winger ( A ) C - Attacking Mid ( s ) L - inside Forward (s ) ------------------------------ poacher or complete forward ( a ) ---------------------------------------------------- Control - Stru -------------------------- if you have fast CD then Push up very high , if you don,t the either normal or slight deeper , build up out of def , close much more roam from pos if you have fast and good dribbling RW AM LW CF , the run at DEF and pass into space , but the main players in this tactic is the tow central MIDS , must have at least 15 work rate and 13 brave , normal or lower tempo , mixed passing or more direct , normal width or wider At the end all of the above depends on 1 : your players : if you have the right players to do the job , then the next is not important , but if you still build you team and have some weak points , then you should look at : 2 : opponents players : Ex ; you can't Push up very higher if they have a very fast strikers ! 3 : opponents tactics : Ex : you can't close much more if they play on counter and direct long balls , they will kill you , -------------------------- this tactic is my own , i developed it myself , i managed to win with teams like Leeds United First Season SKY CHAMP Winner , Second Season Euro league , Next season , Euro Leage Winner with 7th in league , Fourth Season EPL Winner Quarter Final in UCL , Fifth Season , EPL + UCL Winner :) at the end you must have the right players to fit into your tactic , whatever that tactic is , look at attributes , not the stars :) the most important ATTR for me is ( Work Rate , Determination , Brave , and the most important is hidden one :) , they have to be at least fairly consistent performers , you want them to give it all ) for Wrk,Det,Brv all players must be minimum 13 but in midfield must be 15 and more , ... i hope that you got the idea how to build a very good tactic , you may not use my tactic , but i'm sure that you will find this loooooong comment useful :) +_* Good Luke Mate ♥

This tactic simply did not work with Wrexham. Although 4-4-2 was a solid formation, the roles, duties and instructions for team as well as individuals had the team all over the place... back to the drawing board... apologies for the negativity

I've had mixed sucess with it. But I did manage to get Badalona to La Liga. This was on Touch though, don't know if that makes a difference.
