Food allergy: playing the game of chance | Sandip Kamath | TEDxJCUCairns

With 1 in 10 children experiencing food allergies (some life threatening) it is vital that we find alternative treatments. Working with our own immune system may just be the answer. Dr. Sandip Kamath is an NHMRC Research Fellow at the Molecular Allergy Research Laboratory in the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine at James Cook University (JCU). He is part of the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine based at JCU and the Centre for Food and Allergy Research (CFAR) based at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in Melbourne. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
