Lyrics:
Where have you gone?
I walk in circles
Back to square one
Made it through yesterday
Spilling wine, thinking of the time
I wrote you a melody
Rolling your eyes, I held your hand a while
You need not say anything to me
I hear you loud and clear
Loud and clear
I’ll take care of everything from now on
Where are you now?
Who will show me how?
Wait for the sun
Say hello, maybe it will come
You watched the hummingbirds
Naming every one
Do you have a minute for me?
If you don’t mind, I’ll be stopping by
To count all the little black clouds
But, don’t you worry
Please don’t worry
I’ll take care of everything from now on
Where are you now?
Who will show me how?
I’ll take care of everything from now on

Violet sounds so good harmonizing with her dad. Leave it to Dave to create a clone of himself to sing back up so the harmony is perfectly magic.

Beautifully sweet really that she has an incredible voice and is now old enough to properly sing with her father, and be in his band. Not something a lot of kids get to do. She’s lucky. On the negative, she’s been old enough for a good deal of time to see, and understand, all the losses of friends/manager/mother, that Dave has had to go through. I have recently lost my dad who was only 56 years old. During his illness, I heard the tragic news of Taylor Hawkins´ passing and a bit before the publication of the latest three singles, I also read about the passing of Dave´s mother. These songs have probably had a huge healing impact on Dave and the band, but this effect is spreading out to all the ones who have suffered a similar loss of both a friend and a parent (my dad was to me both). So I wanted to thank you for your art, your songwriting and all the healing energy that has been packed in the upcoming album.

Love how the video starts with a cloudy/stormy look and slowly transitions to sunshine at the end with the river still flowing forward. Subtle stuff they got going on in this lyric video, that follows the transition of loss and pain to acceptance and moving on.

Sounds more like Cocteau twins, but a lpt of grunge acts were influenced by what was playing in europe in the 1980s
Sheer beauty and harmony between Dave and Violet❤
A mellow, rolling drum beat that somehow synchronizes with our very brain waves... simulating the feelings we had, back in our teenage years when we were high on weed.. reeling over the loss of our favorite singer from our favorite rock band... Soothing lyrics that set us at ease but simultaneously conjure up deep feelings and thoughts from throughout our own troubled lives... Announcing that you'll "take care of everything"..... a promise to a loved one, from one side of eternity to the other. Asking the question "Who will show me now?" A tribute to a soul mate, and a rhetorical question because talking to that person in the present signifies that you still consider that person to be present in your life.... Just beautiful... This song is very beautiful. Very deep, touching and to top it off, it sounds fucking great. Thankyou Foo Fighters.
This has to be one of my favorite recent FF songs, if not one of the best of all of their career. So refreshing and different from anything they've ever released. Congrats to the guys for such an amazing track!

Amazing lyrics to go with a stunning late 70s-like ballad, disco drumming, and layered on a bed of soft rock. Good job, Violet--you nailed it. Dave? your lower range sounded good, also. I'm not sure you can ever get over losing one's mom but I've often felt like she visits me as a butterfly or two. Thanks for this song.
This song has a whole feel of its own,you can almost picture any thing ,under the sun,and maybe more to come, the year 2024,has been hard, sad, and somehow i think we need to contemplate, who we are now😢💔🩵🕊
One of the best tracks Foo have released in year's. I hope the albums hits this tone.
Now that's really good! Nailed it Grohl!

If you’re grieving. This is the remedy. It touched my soul. Very beautiful in so many levels.
This song is seriously something else! It's got such a deep vibe that it always hits me right in the feels whenever I hear it. Rest in peace, Taylor! ❤
This albums gonna be a refresher for all of our souls. But at the same time it will be REALLY hard to listen to without crying.
