He’s the only person to ever have 3 albums in the top 10 on the charts with three different bands... Foo Fighters and QOTSA had both released albums that skyrocketed and a Nirvana compilation was also released around the same time. He’s a fucking impressive human, that’s for sure. 🤘🏻

Always liked the foo fighters but him doing things like this puts him at the absolute top in my book.

I love how Dave knows this is this guys moment and all he does is just cheer him on. This kid is running all over the stage and he’s like YEAH JOEY GET IT!!!!

I would've lost my shit from having been so nervous. Joey handled this like a rock star and Dave Grohl is just a great guy...the Keanu Reeves of the music world.

I'm scrolling through the comments and reading some absolutely sour remarks from people who for some reason feel the need to hate on the fact that this kid was given 5 minutes to do something that every single person on this planet who has ever heard music wishes they had the opportunity to do whether it's rock music pop music whatever your favorite genre is and instead of just being happy for the dude there of course has to be people who critique the fact that he couldn't play the song Perfectly or make fun of how he's dressed or just say some other really foul unnecessary comments. You know when you read other people's comments and then you say to yourself "wow what a tool bag". Yea, that's you. Just saw them last night and Dave is actually the coolest dude on the planet. He did something similar with a guy in the front, right before they played "Big Me" he noticed the guy's sign that said No Dad, will you be mine? Dave called him up on stage after dedicating the song to him. Landon is one lucky dude to have Dave be his Dad even for 5 minutes.

His stage guitars are water proofed against sweat and rain (outdoor shows). The water dump wouldn't have bothered him.

Ronil Manlosa he dont consider himself a rockstar since the term give him a sour taste after the 2001 tour. Taylor’s OD did change a lot of things in that band and for the better.

The fans that are chosen for this FF tradition of being called on stage and playing this song, will forever have to deal with the "Kiss Guy Paradox". Kiss Guy was so amazing that this fan here is trying to best that legendary performance, four months BEFORE the Kiss guy ever set foot onstage.

I freakin love this guy. Never heard of him, not my kind of music. Im an oldie and old shool kinda guy. Dont even care for rap. Just happened to see The Kiss Guy video pop up on Facebook and it caught my attention. The world needs more Dave Grohls Especially with all that is going on right now. This can be the thing that can change a persons whole life. Especially for the person with low self esteem this would be a game changer. This band will be on my play list for now on.

I remember seeing this live. it was one of my most favourite memories to this day. The entire stadium shared this one energy. The video is hard to convey this, but the entire stadium felt as if it were shaking from the clapping, the cheers and of course the speakers.

I saw FF in 1997. A guy found his way onstage, went up to the microphone to sing with Dave. Dave turned and looked startled. He then stepped back, waved his hand toward the microphone, and let the guy sing a verse. Then security just walked him off stage without incident. Very cool of Dave.

You gotta have some stones to get up and play in front of not just the crowd, but your idols ..

best day of his life, viva la vida Joey!

Good on him he took the moment for all he could and that is how it should be. He really did play well too. He also knows how to take cues well and when to stop and read the others. I also love that Dave was like "come on this guitar was made to be played. Play something" and he proceeds to cleverly starts improvising. Great job on all of their parts the band included because its difficult for someone to just come in and play on a song unrehearsed. But the rest of the band are so good it wouldnt matter to them.
