    @@SpikeTheWolf Yes, with games like genshin, it's easy for a person to feel tired. I played everyday for 2 and a half years and got burnt out, stopped playing for 5 months. The game felt like a chore, but I freaked out the moment I missed a day of commissions; I'm f2p and couldn't bring myself to stop playing. Then, earlier this year, I just stopped playing altogether. It was easier this time because I've practically done everything in the game. I eventually returned to get kaeya's skin and realized the game is much more suited for me if I just don't force myself to do the repetitive tasks in it. Now I just casually play, once or twice a week. It's more enjoyable that way Sorry for the rant, I felt the need to give an example :')

Like how the theme of sumeru completely bloom into new chapters of story after we experience the whole thing. @@f4llenleavesit's just like a famous artist, you can recognize they art just look for a feels seconds. for a famous musician composer is the same. fontaine music is not bad, but is different form and has a different vibe, compared of previous yu-peng music. fontaine's opening song didn't surpass sumero's opening song, and again, it's not because it's bad it's just because sumero's was such a high level of quality that it would be hard for yu-peng itself to surpass. Port Ormos's music is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in Genshin, I spent hours walking around listening to that music when I arrived in that region for the first time. I think yu-pen was already thinking about leaving hoyomix, and with this he made the sumero songs as his great final work for the game and that's why that was a Masterpiece

  • @well5526

    @well5526

    @@f4llenleavesYou can simply look at Sumeru's main song and see that the first comments are from orchestra participants thanking them for taking part in that masterpiece. but despite yu-peng's departure, as he himself said, he is completely sure that the people who continued to compose future songs will do a good job as his. (and I agree with that because APEP's music wasn't made by him, and for me it's the best boss fight music. And in Fontaine, the music from Merusea village is very good.) It's going to take a while for us to adapt because we were used to yu-peng's style of music

Kids these days can't stand seeing middle aged musicians in suits and dresses and think every instrument that isn't an 808 bass or synth or electric guitar is a "boring outdated instrument". The fact that "musicians" of current generation are only making trendy music in hopes to be viral on TikTok is pretty telling. No creativity or vision whatsoever. Those music are pure garbage from an objective musical perspective, and it can't be helped that the mass is propagating their popularity. As long as these 30 second hooks these "TikTok music" continue to undermine the exposure of actual good music like Genshin's, its OST will always be underappreciated.

We are treated to 7 groups of musicians as the concert starts with a Mondstadt theme moving on to Liyue next and so on. By the time the Snezhnaya theme ends we are all in tears as we remember our journey. When they finish serenading us with just themes is when they hit us hard with the emotions with Ruu's song to start, then Eternal Oasis. After the first hour and a half we take a mandatory intermission so the audience can rehydrate from the tears.

    it kinda tell the whole story of CH4 tho - it starts off with Focalors' theme, then Furina's - then the dance begins, Furina wore her mask as she masquerades with the tune - the music then turns into a conflict, the people are doubting her and are demanding for an answer, and in the end they judged their own god - when everything seems to have lost, we finally met the real director of this whole show, learning the history, reason, the pain behind the mask, and hope for the future - then it ended in Focalors' theme, as a final goodbye

I guess there's nothing stopping a concert series from dividing the music into different concert series if they don't want to skip too many pieces. (some other stuff that could limit them going on world tour would be: money, time and venue availability are some obstacles. the logistics of having orchestras travel can be a lot, too (for example: hotels, visas, etc. ) If they could manage to bring some of these instruments without them being damaged by border officers, it'd be the greatest miracle ever. Just listening the soundtrack I can imagine Furina as a sensitive, dreamy and gentle person. But after the original Hydro Archon death she had to adapt to her new reality. I can imagine that Furina had so many dreams and goals, before she had to bear the duty of the new Hydro Archon. And the most of them are unreachable for her now. The death of the original Archon caused her to become "prickly" and more distant from her people, as she probably thinks this is how an Archon must be. This, of course, contrasts to her true personality. The only distraction from the harsh reality became the trials at the Court of Fontaine. I would guess that she would gladly retire from her duty, if the opportunity would present itself. Didn't read leaks, so it's all just my speculations, but it would be cool if it will turn out to be correct. That would be blind guess just based from the music
