What incredible work this woman and countless other photographers are doing to document the stories of the people and the planet. Hardships and victories, failures and successes, the really brave ones step out into the world and capture the proof of existence so that we can share in that truth and marvel (and despair) at the diversity and oneness of the world.

Thank you for sharing these photos and their background stories. Very good photos and brave woman.

Amazing shots. And courageous. Thank you
great work!
I remember watching a vice video 10 years ago, where vice was giving a kid in Libya the platform to ask for weapons from Obama. I wonder if that kid still alive
Praying for everyone’s continued safety 🙏🏾☝🏾💖
I’m surprised they bury the bodies. Typically they just leave them lying in the streets to set an example for others. It’s truly a sad thing. 😢

This is just a theory. What if the smugglers who found decimated bodies among wreckage from a mine being run over -- were allied? And the bodies which were buried were done so out of respect. However, the fact a prayer was said too, could symbolize a type of shared religion?

Your comment's from a recently published 2024 wall calendar. I've no clue what type of calendar it is, and don't care. Turn it around, and you'll see the publisher name is Luella Press. They've bought rights to my Haiku. After a 1yr de-coupling contract our junction together ends. It's flattering, what you've done. If you ever feel an itch to use my words again, scratch until it bleeds. @@MrProzacmilkshake

wow, Libya looks so much better without Gaddafi
Those poor cheetahs.
Are these the people who first murdered Gaddafi and are now on the way north??
And they now rent flats in Southern Italy and Nice
give simon cowell his trousers back
Photograph taken on 2021 news published on 2024 what were you doing 3 years?
Did you all cover the bodies found in Mississippi?
Colonization,Education, banning weapons (without exploiting) is helping if they cant help themselves to get peace. Shipping these poor traumatized ppl to other countries where they liver in another kind of trap doesnt help them. You have to close boarders and force them to peace and helping them in a correct human way instead of human trafficking and making buisness for a political party
Yeah I can imagine fight a war in the desert would suck as far as defensive positions especially if they are up against any sizable high tech military like the US. There's no cover, just sand. I know wouldn't want to be a sitting duck in the desert. Obviously we saw in Iraq in the 90s that even deep bunkers weren't safe.
Gaddafi a 'dictator' as soon as he declared the libyan dinar for oil trade, instead of the petro dollar. Meanwhile MBS of saudi and Tamim bin Hamad of Qatar doing exact same things but friendly with US. What a sad state for the people of libya, you killed the guy who was actually there to help you... Enjoy the 'freedom'
Respect to the bravery of this woman. The photos are powerful.

@drugoviic maybe you dont understand how poverty and corruption works in some parts of the world such as Libya. Do you know how easy it is to get hundreds even thousands of people to turn on you for money and the possibility of getting a life changing payment which may not be much to you but equivalent to 50k dollars to them? 500k dollars? You can put a hit out on someone for less the 10k where I'm from. This is exactly how corruption works in these poor and struggling countries. Gaddafi was in the process of changing this country's economic status and that's why he was taken out. You can simply Google all the things Gaddafi did and was doing in his country.
