    Must now be the best sounding EDF jet ON THE PLANET!!! Great video and sound from your brothers camera gear, can't wait for the next video. Very good information and entertainment, companies should send you free items to test, I'm sure you are improving their sales, I have one on order, still waiting. Excellent work!

    Love it! I can't wait to try some of your ideas on my next EDF. Thanks for the great tip on the current sensor! I'll be doing that on the 40A version to use in my smaller models.

    I did it already and it showes 10x less with 12awg cables soldered in so I changed the conectors for XT90 and now I have 400A 8s sensor :) Yes it works on 8s :)

    Indeed, the sound is "deeper", more bass. Can be clearly heard comparing the first dive & pass in both flights. Any idea / theory how this can be explained? Why do the cheaters (or the little grates you added) cause this sound difference? Fantastic plane by the way. Don't change it any further, it's a perfect machine already! Congrats for building it.

  • @EDFjetRC

    @EDFjetRC

    It tempts me to change it but you are right, it is a dream machine:) Without grates in the cheater holes the sound was pounding like drum and did not resamble jet at all. Take a kithen strainer and blow into it with your mouth. It is Jet Sound :)

    But then I will sell the turbine and switch to EDF Now that I have seen what is possible ps.. And what should I look for regarding thrustpipe, diameter pipe and distance EDF thrustpipe. EDF is completely new for me Keep on rocking with your videos Kind regards Ferdinand

    Hello Wojtek, I was awaiting for this video, your cheater holes definitely give a better jet sound, I gues it should be even more obvious in real life than the youtube sound. Nice tricks about the FAS100S too ! Did you measure the static trust of your setup (with and w/o cheater holes) ?

  • @EDFjetRC

    @EDFjetRC

    3 жыл бұрын

    Patrick, I did measure but I do not remember exact numbers but I remember that with cheater holes open it was 400g more thrust. It is close to 8kg at full battery.

    A question to your battery: You describe 14s 8000 mAh , weight 1880g. So in my calculation you need 28 T40s, means 28 x 70 g = 1960 g + plastic parts + cables makes around 2100 -2200 g?
