I came to La Palma in 1994 and it has stayed in my heart since that time. I had hopes of being an evangelist and starting a Baptist mission there, but it was not to be. Perhaps you have seen the booklet my wife and I passed out called "Millions Disappear". I love La Palma and have such fond memories of the place and the people. I have been all over the world and the people in Los Llanos de Aridane were the friendliest by far. We watch your videos everyday. Please be safe and we pray for La Palma every day. God bless.

There is NOBODY doing as good of reporting as this man. We are Blessed to have him as our private reporter. The video also had me laughing, because of the people just lying on the beach as if nothing is going on. . Some are never phased, no matter what is going on in the world.

Hello, Bear. That is truly a beautiful island. I and thousands of others are very concerned for everyone there. For many of us watching from far away, we are astounded that not everyone is being evacuated, and being told to stay home and "block the deadly gases with wet cloths around doors and windows and wear your masks". Praying for everyone. Concerned from Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

When you see those clouds hoovering over the mountaintops it's like a waterfall, magnificent to watch. I was told that the trees on the tops "milking" the water from the clouds, and if you are hiking in those clouds it's horizontal raining. Been there twice for hiking vacations in the late 90's, will never forget the stunning beauty of La Palma,,I even walked on the ridge/ caldera of the Cumbre Vieja who is now very much alive. 🇳🇱🌬💞

Yes, the entire island is made up of volcanos. No volcano there, no island. Same with Hawaii - the volcanos there - even though they destroy anything is its path, it also creates more land when it hits the ocean. The islands slowly grow with each eruption that reaches the sea/ocean.

Canary Islands are like Hawaii of Europe. Holiday hotspots because of the all year round sunshine. Gets real hot in the summer months. I lived in Tenerife for 3 years. Teide on Tenerife is a big dormant volcano, I used to get dreams of being stranded there when there’s a big 1, a local used to tell me the big 1 would be any day, it’s long overdue, still to happen. You would often feel a rumble on occasion, just to let you know it’s still there. I wondered what it was the 1st time it happened. Bit like being in the street above a subway station When I 1st heard of a volcano erupting in the canary islands volcano eruption I instantly thought of Mount Teide. If anybody every has a chance to visit the Canary Islands from the other side of the Atlantic, there will be no disappointments 👍 Fun ancient historical facts- during Spanish Armada times when Spanish migrants crossed the Atlantic to settle in South America, they left from various ports of the canary islands. So much history of those islands, a lot more than just nice hotel resorts and hot temperatures

I absolutely love this video, Bushcraft Bear!! Your virtual tour of your island was incredible! It's so beautiful there! It's horrible that you and the people of La Palma have to deal with a volcano looming over your beautiful island. Thank you for the amazing narrative of the island and the update on Cumbre Vieja. You're awesome. God be with you. 🙏🦋
