You'd be surprised how many different ways disabled people found their place in the scientific community. It's because there, nothing but the study results matter. People share passion for a subject, instead of focusing on the people. Even the cultural differences don't matter when you're working internationally with your colleques. Just a community of dedicated people working together to learn more. It's so great.

I've had a surgery that had been made only a couple of times before in my country at the time, I was a kid at the time. For me, what was most remarkable, was not necessarily even the result of the surgery, but the fact that the surgeon was up-front about the risks and the possibilities, despite me being a child. It is very important to us patients that the surgeons are realistic and humble about the situation, and talk to the client as a fellow person they're co-operating with, not as "an experiment". It makes you feel safer. Thank you for your very important work!

This man is insanely inspiring!! Absolute warrior. It may take a while but I hope he gets full recovery. His family should be proud, he's not letting this stop him from his education and pursuing the things he wants in life.

Quand je pense que je passe mon temps a me plaindre de mes migraines. Le courage dont il fait preuve me donne honte de moi. Il y a vraiment des gens extraordinaires, qui malgré les epreuves se battent et sont des soleils pour leurs proches.

What medication are you on? Biologics to keep ankylosing spondylitis under control have been available for like 30 years. The real question is what the heck this guy's doctors were doing that let him get to this point.

I'm not going to say he can fight the fate but he just did something to change his fate. Remember people, everyone has their own challenge in their life. Only the burden that they face didn't exist in the mainstream everyday because they kept it for themselves. Just because you in pain it doesn't mean other people doesn't feel the same because as long as live in this world we can't run away from any kind of challenge in our life from a little mistake, big mistake, disease, injury, failed in life, being deny, lack of something in life, being ousted, death or any other else. We must keep stronger because no one can help us if we give up except ourselves. Every hurdles you can overcome if you trust yourself, doing what you need to do and trust the process. At the end no one can understand 100% about what happened in your life and what you feel about it. I wish every person that read my comment having a great day if it not today maybe tomorrow or any other day in your life 😁
