This plane was a ton of fun when grinding benelux, just forcing every fighter to overshoot and park on their 6 or getting the upperhand in scissor maneuvers

@@petermikus2363 come on, we all know that "cockpit placeholder" tag means that its permanent. ive ever seen 1 cock pit be added to a plane that had a placeholder and that was for the p-61 so im will never get my hopes up of getting actual bomber cockpits

It needs to be classified like that in the game to get the airspawn it needs. They're not gonna write a whole new code just so this thing can have "heavy fighter" on its stat card and still spawn at the same altitude as the strike aircraft.

For the same reason as with the Bf-110 I guess. To keep it simple. Like the Bf-110, it's a multirole 'destroyer'. In real life if had the role of a 'cruiser'. Basically a long range fighter. Again the Bf-110 also had a role like this. In a country like the Netherlands, which is small and has no channel between to buy time. It would be too late to scramble fighters from the ground in the case of an air invasion. So the idea was to already have long range fighters in the air to intercept bombers. Even the Fokker T.V was used for this. Pretty much a bomber used as a very heavy figher.

Would you recommend me to grind France after I finish the f14 because France seems like a viable choice now

So full disclosure - I play AB and only to Rank 3 in France so far. But it does have a ton of American planes so a lot of it will feel familiar no doubt (the ones I have so far feel the same). Jumping at times to British planes unless you play them may throw you off - not an issue I have I play all the lines but US is the only one I researched all the planes on prior to the last update. The actual French planes in Rank 2 I'll be honest are rough in my opinion - the 7.5mm guns for whatever reason feel ineffective (give me 7.62 or better yet British 7.7 and I'm usually fine) and the cannons feel like their always out of ammo and some issues hitting, other than I think one or two of the bombers with pilot controlled weapons. But it sorts itself in Rank 3 with the likes of the VB.10 as far as ammo and weapons - but the plane is still just... weird, it's hard to explain. At the very least - with how much overlap there is, it'll likely be the easiest to grind because you'll be familiar with a lot of the planes already, but some non-American ones can mix it up a bit for you to keep it fresh and not just a replay of the US line. Far as competitive - really would have to make that call yourself I think unless someone way further up the line can speak about it. It's at least on par with US - not surprising when like 1/3-1/2 the planes are American.

It does seem very fun to grind! I’m gonna finish stock grinding my f14q then I will try to grind for the Fokker and if I have a good time I’ll try to keep playing France. Thanks!

@@RyanRothermel-ix4bx No problem - I would say over time try all the lines, or at least some of the smaller ones first where they are built up from other nations basically to try them out and get a feel - like how China you have the American line in the tree but also basically a Russian one (with some Japanese planes thrown in as well). But likely better to focus one at a time and find what you like as opposed to me who's scatter shot for more than a decade across all of them with breaks in between. You never know you could find a different nations style better suits you - or that it's better to play Russian bias planes especially at lower tiers. Seriously can't tell if they under rater all those planes in BR or over rated all the others but going from playing the other lines to that one always feels like turning easy mode on.
