Fokker D.VIII demo flight in "Rise Of Flight"

Ойындар

Fokker D.VIII short flight with full ammo load and 20% fuel load (about 14 litres). Ingame graphics and sound. And amazing ingame physics simulation of course.

Fantastic video of the Fokker D.VIII. I love the early monoplanes, like the “Razor” along with the Bristol M1C, the Morane series and even the pre war Deperdussin racer.

I've seen all your videos, my compliments for the beautiful quality and skilled control of such different beasts. What I love most of your videos (and indeed of RoF) it's the spirit that can be captured playing or watching it: the beautiful sensation of freedom this kind of planes give, and that I think even that young and brave pilots should have felt before being thrown in the fear and horrors of war. Can I ask you what are your hardware device for such a nice graphic, controls and if you use a TrackIR or some other devices? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to be getting RoF in a few weeks and I can't wait to play. I miss playing Red Baron 3D when I was a kid. Everything about this game looks amazing!

Yes, the airframe and engine the same as Dr1. Anthony Fokker have experimented with this airframe. There was experimental plane even with 5 wings - 3 on the front and 2 in the middle of the airframe anigrand.com/AA2091_V-8.htm

Does the D.VIII use the airframe of the Dr.I or just the engine?

The speed limit of this aircraft - 185 km/h. Not the fastest WW1 fighter. But this plane is best fighter for me, because it has so good combination of climb rate, maneuverability, speed, and gives no bad surprises in piloting. I flew this fighter more than 100 hours in online battles and never fall into a tailspin. Also it has very strong wing that allows you to perform all the stunts without fear of exceeding G-limit. The only drawback - a gentle engine that breaks down quickly at excess RPM.

If you look at the real capabilities, it was an awesome plane but the wing was slightly fragile and had a tendency to separate at during a high speed dive.

Не самый лутьший вариант ставить ротор на моноплан, и темнеменее както летали, я имею ввиду професионалов, бестрашныш и самоуверенных в себе людях.
