This is too cool. I'm amazed by the efficieny of these foil boards. He seems to manage to get up to a fair speed without expending much energy. I'd like to see these speeds compared to a bicycle.

The efoil can be purchased from alibaba. I saw Marc Zuckerberg on one at cour de lane in Idaho. I do not think he knew about all the toxic stuff in that lake. His video makes me want one though.

I'm curious. Does board size matter?I have a naish hover kite 144. From reading below it sounds like this board is smaller slightly. With the right wing could it work for pumping or are some boards better? My wing isn't likely big enough ( it's a 1050 jet) but I could buy a bigger wing. Thoughts? What wing are you using? Thanks!

Wake thief seems to like his axis 1150 the best. My buddy Landon was riding an axis 1010 for both winging and pumping. I think for pumping, a board that is too big doesn’t pump as efficiently as a smaller board just because of weight. I’m not sure if you can go too small. You might have a harder time controlling the foil with too small a board but I imagine your hover kite 144 would work fine.

@@marksudul Thanks for the info. The axis 1010 is much higher aspect ratio, and about 40% more vol than my wing. The 1150 is absolutely huge compared to mine!! Will keep that in mind when looking at other wing options. Cheers!

To be honest I would recommend going with quality makers vs Amazon. GoFoil is a good brand to begin with and has more than enough options to grow into and shred. Armstrong, Axis, Lift, MFC, and Takuma are all brands with solid designs. I prefer Armstrong simply due to the design and engineering behind their gear. And for boards, I think Freedom Foil Boards and KT have some of the best boards around.

The foil functions like a fun from a whale, and like the wing of a plane. On the way down it accelerates because the fin redirects part of the acceleration from gravity forwards. By adding force via movement, the person surfing can create net positive momentum.
