Nice thorough job explaining this installation! More complicated to install than I imagined… so much for “plug n play”, lol….. which makes you imagine popping out fog lamp cover, installing lamps, plugging in wires, and away you go! Lol…

Thank you very much for all your insights. I just got them installed at Tint World. Yes, yes,...I know it is not he same as DIY... Your help gave knowledge to know about what to look after. Although it is a fresh installation, everything I checked works fine. Their technician had the courtesy of adjusting a design feature that would have left the fog lights one after turning the engine off.

The final product looks sweet. I really want to do this on my '21 LE but I don't know jack about electrical wiring and even though your video looks very informative, I'd mess it up. Great job, though!

I installed my 21 LE with regular fog light with no turn signal but im happy for that but this is nice im thinking to replace it with these turn signal but anyway you did a awesome job boss nice done and clean

Great video. I have a watch it several times already as a morale booster before tackling this project.I have just the vertical accent lights similar to the XSEs. My RAV4 is 2022. I’ll just set them up in a way their always on when the vehicle is on. Similar to the raptor lights. The yellow wire to the signal light. The black and white wires. Is Black on the negative and white the positive? Appreciate your input. Thanks

Nice job and great video. I was wondering what year your RAV was? I have a 2023 RAV XLE and I was working in the fuse box the other day and noted that there is a complete connector in the fuse box for the "fog lights". I don't have factory fog lights but I am curious if these cars may have the wiring harness in place and it would be more plug and play then the kit you used. Great Job and your RAV looks awesome!!

Mine is a 21, I'll look at ours tonight, I know for sure we don't have a wire harness installed. The XLE may have a harness since it's an option. It could be installed at the "port" and just plug in. It's definitely something to look into.

Great video! Waiting for mine to come in. Looking for any suggestions on how to connect the 3 wires for the turn signal. I have a 2021 hybrid and Gator lights (not the factor4). Red is positive I can add to the fuse. Not so sure about the back and the white. Thanks!!!

Black is to ground, I didn't hook up the white.

The yellow and red wires connected to batery positive together? Wich color wire did you connected to headlights??

I just used a wire tapper, it's not "ideal" but it's worked so far. No issues whatsoever.

It didn't interfere at all, works great 👍🏻

Just think after you spend the money and all the time to install these upgrades 3 to 5 years later when you trade it in the dealership doesn’t even consider this stuff on the trade in. I took my 2016 RAV4 that I just paid off in to trade in on a new 2023 RAV4 Premium model. They gave me the bottom price that Kelly Bluebook says it’s worth. The way I look at it, I might as well try to get as many upgrades already on the car when I buy it. I didn’t get the 13 speaker JBL on this package but I’m going to have a Pro install a Giant Speaker Cabinet for the trunk area with 2 twelves and 4 Tweeters at 2,000watts. Everything will be Quick connect so it’s easy to take it out later.

Hybrid might be different. I believe the battery is in the back of the vehicle and there might not be a blank switch plate to pop out.

Two questions: The grommet into the car seems not quite to be in place. Is there any change water or noise can leak through that grommet into the interior of the car ( min 22:58 )? What can you do to improve the seal?? Seond question, I have seen both the LED DRL on the side of the fog lamp as yours (vertical) and another version where they have horizontal ones above and below the fog light hole. Do the vertical ones block at all the fog lamp projection on the side (the horizontal ones wont for sure).

Hi, I guess we didn't show pushing the grommet back in, we haven't had any issues with noise or water ingress. And the vertical light does not impede the fog light at all, they(DRL) are not projection lights

It's possible that the fog lights would just plug in to the factory harness and then you could just decide to wire the DRL into another loom or keyed fuse.

I can't give you a definite answer, but you could probably make it work if you put your mind to it. If you get it and need to ask some questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Would have been nice if you would have show how it looked out on the road at night. I assume the Rav 4 did not have a harness already installed from the factory, am I correct?

It's possible to make a ground with the hardware, but best bet is to go bare metal.

If I want the lights to just stay on all the time, do I really need to go through the firewall and add the switch to the dash?

You could just wire it up to the ignition on, but you'll lose the switch back feature. So just choose which color you prefer, you'll retain the turn signal and DRL function

Wire it to you fuse block you will have some in the fuse block that are not used so wire to there and put the right size fuse in.

The 3x square lights runns from the fog lights power , but they are not fog lights at all? Its just DRL's? If you , wil you please me a video showing what it looks like when you switch the "fog lights" on and off please? I will surely modify mine so the switchback does dimm at night.

If you connect directly to the battery always stay On, but if you connect to the fuse box they will turn off when the vehicle turned off, the only problem that I see is until you put all lights off the dlr stay On

Did you ever think of taking the wheel off and then (oh huge light bulb) you’d have more room instead of struggling. Work smart not hard. Disappointing.
