I bought a similar foglight kit from eBay. For mines, the wire harness cable that goes to the switch was at a greater length. I did not need to splice it. Although, the button appeared to be incompatible as it is a more rectangular shape. I purchased another foglight button that would fit into my panel cover slot.

Great video ! I am in the process of doing a simular project with relays that turn on my fog lights with the low beam and turn off my fog lights with my high beams...with a different push button light-up on/off switch on the inside because all my spots were taken.

Looks great. My RAV4 came with fog lights. Reason for my post is the quality of the after market plastics. I don’t know what kind of plastic the bezels are made of but I would strongly advice originals over fakes. The reason is over time the fake ones will discolor, they turn ugly gray. I have had this experience with after market products on a totally different car. I know, original parts are more expensive but cheapness has its price....

This is probably true, but honestly I've had my '22 for about 4 months and the stock plastic parts are already each a different shade of grey. It's pretty darn hard to find lower-quality plastic than the OE Toyota if you spend over ~$100

Hey man ! I installed some fog lights today they also wire into the turn signal I disconnected the harness from the bulb and I started to get parking break disabled and other codes coming up the fog lights come with a relay I wired everything up to my panel gang switch . I’ve wired all my lights up to that not sure why I started to get codes. I also wired the turn signal to what I thought was the turn signal but it was a black and white wire coming from the turn signal harness.i corrected that wire and put it to the correct wire but when I use my blinker I start to get those parking break codes and some other ones .any suggestions?

I’m not seeing where you were testing your wiring, my wires harness looks pretty much the same as yours ,though I have some different fog lights so how did you connect the lights to the wire harness included . I’m trying to figure out if I need to cut wires/ where to cut them

BS, I need your expertise on this. Here what I am trying to do on the same RAV4 model. I would like to mirror your setup with on/off switch inside on the dash just like yours. But is it possible to connect the relay power wire to the low beam wire with the kit you bought on eBay? This way, your fog can be turned on only when low beam is on but you can still turn off fogs with the switch even with low beams on. Let me know BS. THANKS!

That’s a lot of work. Why don’t they connect the fog with the headlight. That’s how I did it on my 98 accord.

I was looking in to it yesterday, but it looks like you have to replace the headlight assembly to replace the led inside, I call the dealer but they said that they have to look at it first, and I don’t see how you can remove those LED’s

I'm unclear in where you tap in the switch. My cheapo wiring harness only has connections to the battery, which is always on. I would like to have it set up so the fog lights only come on when the car is actually powered on, so I can't be a bonehead and leave my lights on. Seems this cheapo harness didn't take that into account... at all. Also, I found my switch backlighting is white, not blue like the factory lights... and it's super bright. Ugh.

i still have the problem with fog light switch. my rav 4 Le hybrid dont have empty spot for the fog lights switch. there were 3 slots. the last slot were use for the windshield defroster.now i dont know where to put the fog light switch . any idea?

And how do I know if the model I have can be done. I have le awd which is pretty basic because I live in a very rural northern part of Canada where we have very harsh winters so when a car has too much electronic they always seem not to work very well. Adding the fog lights would help when in snow storms

I don’t have that RAV4 anymore, but that kit doesn’t have fuse to connect, the only connections are to the battery, just put the black to the negative in between the post and the nut same with the positive

The battery in a 2019 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid is in the rear of the car under the cargo mat on the right hand side. You would need to run a wire from there all the way up to the drivers side. Not impossible but it would take an extra bit of time to figure out.

Void warranty it must be installed on Toyota service department. It doesn’t matter if you buy over the counter or amazon or eBay and anywhere else. If you buy part by it self it’s no warranty

Is okay, but you go to fast and talk to much of the same stuff. You also need to include how to install the cable’s system in the battery and then go to inside the car to finish all. But you only so fast

Just attached red to positive and black to negative

Good instructions, but I "disliked" it because he didn't go into how to adjust the fogs if they're not lined up perfectly. His were, but that may not be true for everyone, would be good to know how to adjust them. After following his instructions my lights worked, but they are not aligned properly.

Really? Just work the deal.. move up 1 level to the XLE done. Now, you have a warranty should something starts smoking.. or.. If you have to have warranty work done.. they spot your shade tree install and immediately Void Your Warranty.. NOT worth it. Should have purchase the XLE for a few bucks more.
