Focused and healthy Takeshi Sasaki is nearly unstoppable

Спорт

Takeshi Sasaki is a Japanese judoka who competes in -81 kg and open weight categories. Takeshi Sasaki is 2022 Asian champion, 2-time Japanese champion, and a bronze medalist in All Japan Openweight Championships. Most impressive thing about him is his defense. Has amazing ability to squirm out of well executed throwing techniques and even turn the tables on the thrower

In a different --- and perhaps more scientific --- way of describing his skills (both offensively and defensively): he knows how to serve gravity. He knows that very fine tilting point. That means even against a bigger, taller, and stronger opponent who's also an elite Judo practitioner, he's able to combine HIS MASS to that bigger, taller, stronger opponent's mass and manipulate the "fall" in such a way, he's able to twist the two falling masses to his advantage, DURING the actual fall. You could clearly see, some of the much bigger, taller, and stronger Caucasian elite opponents he had to deal with, it's always adding his mass to the opponent's mass, and making both fall... but fall in a way HE could use minute twists to adjust the falls, so by the time the two tangled bodies land, he's usually on top. Against an equally elite opponent who could do everything you could but he's bigger, taller, & stronger, it's ONLY SURPRISED --- counter-intuitive ---- FALLING that you could get the better of him.... because while both are standing, it is not possible to use either pure technique (he's as good in technicality as you) or mass or strength (he's also bigger, taller, and stronger than you) to make him butch in a way you want, because he TOO anticipates every maneuvers you're going to do as well as having offensive maneuvers of his own that he's also constantly try against you, as the clinching continues.... But, again, if you FALL first, say, and "bring him along," for a nanosecond, he would not be expecting that. By the time he realizes what you're up to, the two bodies are already on the mat, with him under you. Again, brilliant gravity awareness (to be strictly scientific: it's gravity with air resistance: these things don't work on the Moon... because the gravity there is extremely small).

He is so underrated and unkown. I like him not only because of his skills, but his determination. He is always attacking, both standing and on the ground. I hope we see more of him in the future.

Sasaki will never be the front face of japanese judo and it is okay, but this level of talent, this level of versatility is just crazy. I think he is the perfect judoka. Paris GS is the single best performance I've ever seen.
