Keiji Suzuki is a Japanese judoka, who competed in -100, +100 kg and Openweight categories. He is 3-time World and 1-time Olympic Champion. Suzuki was renown for his technical excellence particularly his combinations and Ashi Waza skills, Uchi Mata's, Ashi Guruma's and foot sweeps and reaps. He was also one of the smallest judokas in heavyweight divisions with height of 1.84 m and approximate weight of 105 kg. On top of that Suzuki was recently appointed as the head coach of Japanese National Judo team (2021-08-11).

THe O guramas! So much weight to fling. I’ve never seen such profound combos I can’t believe he finds counters and corrections multiple times in such rapid succession. Beautiful. I love how the Divine expresses itself through everything.

I'm in awe. I've never watched judo, just understood what it was by descriptions but wow, it's mesmerizing. I was often confused by what I just saw yet this is second nature to him

What makes this so amazing is Keiji is throwing black belts around. Imagine if his opponents were not trained in Judo.

One thing I think that escapes people's minds when they see this as a recreation or as ineffective in "Real Fight Situations" is that these are sportsman not only trained to fall correctly for years if not decades, and trying to achieve ippon and not incapacitation, but that any random opponent in a RFS will almost certainly not be ready to take a fall as safely. Now imagine they wanted you to hit the hard ground with maximum force on top of your head. Not fun. Then of course there are the truly dastardly things you can do after you stun/partially paralyze/break several meaningful bones of your opponent such as choke holds, armbars, leg locks or really whatever you care to do.
His ashiwaza is amazing!!

It's like his feet have eyes and know where his opponents feet are at all times. There is one sequence (slomo at 5:32) where he uses his own left foot to kick the left foot of his opponent a little to its left, then he kicks the opponent's other foot a little to its right, and then, with the exact same leg, he turns around and flips the opponent into the air and onto his back on the mat.

柔道みていつも思うのは1番強い背中でなくて頭からおとして殺しにいくような流派だったり人はいなかったんだろうか道になるまでは色々あったんだと感じる
