A really interesting video, thanks. For me it's funny looking at this as my car is a Volvo C30 T5 so the same, but not the same! I put Eibach springs on, but felt it was slower on any badly surfaced back roads (ie all of them haha!) so I put stock springs back on. Maybe I should try the shocks you have? My engine is stock so I haven't done a block mod, but I may do in future when I get around to mapping intercooler etc.

Riding on h&r springs with the b8's and it's not bad.. I mean a lowered car is still going to be hard over a bad surface I guess.... i have been told that the h&r springs are quite hard compared to some other brands. I was toying on the koni sport or koni FSD shock...

Exspensive these cars, had my block mod done at Dreamsciemce along with a few other bits. I may go down the road of B8 shocks also but will wait till my current shocks give up. Have you done your rear ARB yet? Good content but would prefer a bit less music if possible. 👍🏻 from me.

Saving my pennies I'm hoping this month to get an st I own a Volvo S40 T5 at the moment I couldnt afford an st a few years ago but all I do now is look on eBay and autotrader for my dream car love watching all the KZread content on focus STS found this blog very helpful never knew what was involved in the block mod.Not sure if your member of the owners club but I'm in Essex when I get mine will look to hook up with other owners for meets.Keep all the vlogs coming👌👍

Lordee ST Thank you sir! So what’s the current spec on your ST? I’ve had mine for a couple of months now and slowly starting to modify it. Boost solenoid and turbo actuator are next on the list because they’re both weak 😔

Revo stage 2. Get a turbosmart recirc value, revo engine mount, miltek down pipe, decat or sports cat and induction kit and go stage one... then airtec intercooler stage two or three, and a deres pipe.or cat back and go stage two..... or go to BD PERFORMANCE who offer a package deal to get you there straight away, and break up payments monthly...

Interesting.. after owning 2 STs and now an RS, I’d not seen the block mod method in detail 👍🏼

I had the pleasure to meet Darren and the team at BD Performance, for Blockmod and the ultimate chatter package. They have done a great work on my st225. Most probably I will go back for some more mods during the summer :)

@@lordeest Don't think that they are too bad, I've heard about the blockmod so wanted to do it as soon as possible to avoid any engine issues, so for me BD Performance done a great job and was the 1st time for me to use them. They had to keep the car overnight as I delivered the car to them at about 11.15am as I do have some health issues but BD Performance was very understandable and they gave me a call the next morning when the car was ready :).

Where did you get digital clocks from mate

Out of interest what was steering issue and was it resolved? Mine has a notchy feeling when cold and is like it locks central.

Hi... with the change of the shocks and adding powerflex Bush, front lower wishbone rear, has stopped a lot of movement. So it would appear to have been a combination of factors causing movement. I'm going to go back and do as many powerflex bushes as I can afford to stiffen everything up. Yours sound like a different issue, and Darren at BD had mentioned something along what your saying, this could be the steering rack, feels stiff if the middle until warm. Worth giving Darren a call at BD PERFORMANCE

@@lordeest had all my rear links/arms etc replaced y'day and when he took it back from test drive he said that I needed my steering column extension cleaned and greased, googled it and would appear so. I only asked incase was same issue/solution (next weeks job). Your motor is sweet btw

Miltek down pipe, mongoose 200 cell sports cat, mongoose resonated cat back with 4.5inch slash tail pipes. A little quite.....

Hey.. I originally purchased the sports cat cheap, then ended up going stage one, then stage two revo, and had the standard cat back left to do... then went up to bd performance and while I was there, they had a mongoose cat back so throw that on. To be fair, it has a good sound. It could do with a bit if a growle, but I dont think I could deal with it too loud! 👍
