NEW Customer came in with his Focus ST for an AIRTEC Downpipe and DECAT Combo... These higher mileage Mk2's can always present problems removing the bolts from the downpipe to turbo and this was certainly no exception. Its a good reason to leave this one to a garage; its not an easy job on your back, on the driveway - that's for sure!

Please note that this kit was NOT from the manufacturer we mentioned in the video; it was another brand. It may fit with a standard or other aftermarket diffuser but it certainly didn't with the one fitted to this particular car.

The quality of the welding was good in fairness; we would just always recommend fitting a tried and tested brand from Milltek, Mongoose, KMS, Scorpion, Cobra or one of the other big brand names. Sometimes you just are not saving money buying from eBay - this particular system will need modifying to fit correctly. We gave the customer some advice and we hope that he gets it sorted.

Just had an airtec decat fitted into my Dreamscience turbo back and it meant exhaust had to be adjusted to stop it knocking. I think mixing and matching different brands of exhaust bits is not the best way to go. Maybe should have.used a Dreamscience decat instead but I was impatient haha

Normally they do fit; with a little tweak. However this one had no adjustment, unlike the big name brands. Although the quality wasn’t horrific it was just designed to fit a standard ST setup we think.
I now own this, lovely to see all the rust 😂

Jason Dexter I wasn’t referring to the Airtec as cheap stuff or inferior. It was the CAT Back that was the issue in terms of fitment. The Airtec parts will fit easily with any of the well known brands 🔥

Oh no that rear clamp..... Mikalor all the way. Hey, will a focus system fit a smax 2.5 and do you do much work on those?

Unfortunately the u-clamps came with the kit - to supply Mikalor probably would have added most of the cost of the exhaust on top :/ We do work on the S-Max and we've seen modified exhausts fit - from memory we think it was an RS System used but may be wrong. Thank you for the feedback.
In your professional opinion which is the best quality exhaust for the Mk2 ST Downpipe & cat back I will in time purchase and get you to fit

Chris Baxter there are some great options from Mongoose, KMS and Milltek. Those are the brand leaders in my opinion... But that’s just our opinion - make your own choice 🙌
Great vid as usual. Yes bolts can be tricky little beggars especially the ones you cannot get to easily! It's one of the ten commandments of mechanics. 'And lo, thy predecessor hath used a shitty socket, nay a wanky 2 quid spanner and he hath rounded the head off so that even with ye mighty six point impact socket from Snapon thou cannot geteth any purchase.' There will be a gnashing of teeth, and there will be great anger. The cursed words shall be spoken.' amen.😂😂😂

Abandoned Seekers unfortunately we see more and more cars with a slight ‘orange’ tint to the underbody these days. It’s a shame as the Mk3 goes the same way too 🤷🏼♂️

cheap can work fine if its rightly implemented , not everything to work well has to be top shelf parts .
