@@usuallyfixingtinkering I’ve got a feeling not many mk2 ST will get scrapped and survive quite well - I don’t like them personally, especially orange ones - things like this silver will be quite a rarity I would imagine - looks lovely cleaned up

this being the air con model, which mine is not, have thought about retrofitting aircon, getting professional to check it over and regas but id be looking at 4-600 quid for that i believe yours is alos non AC with the PS in place of the compressor

My advice is to really not, the amount of work it takes will take it beyond your figure and I'd really just get one with air con! Some parts are only available 2nd hand like most of the pipes themselves tbh!

What would you use to clean the grease and dirt from locks and hinges before applying gt85

Any degreaser to move the muck away and dry with some towels before GT85.

@@usuallyfixingtinkering thanks. I want to clean and lubricate the bonnet lock on my mk2 as the mechanism is filthy. I was watching your tc Harrison car show meet and seen the k reg escort. The mk5 came out as a J reg then the k reg had a facelift due to the bad press. These cars left the factory with hardly any soldering on the fuse board so cars where having problems with heater blowers fuel pumps ford would not recall the cars so people had to foot the bill for new fuse boards. My mate had his bypassed so he had blowers and fuel pump working. Also they had left the factory without much sealant bonded to the front screen making it easy for windscreen fitters to change the glass 😂
