FOCKE WULF 190 - 14 Cylinder 1900hp Radial Engine Run | Hangar10

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Focke Wulf 190 A8 does a full engine test run to vereify after an oil leak was fixed the day before. All went well. The FW190 is a newly build aircraft with many original parts. It`s powered by a "russian" Ash82T 14cyl. radial engine with around 1900 horsepower. There are plans to refit this aircraft with a original BMW801 radial engine.
Engine run was performed by Testpilot Klaus Plasa.
All filmed at the 2019 Hangar10 Fly In.
This kind of a behind the scenes video, a little longer, but I hope you like it.
Hangar10 Museum has many airworthy warbirds, especially german types.
Special thanks to the Hangar10 crew for giving me access.
Please check the Hangar10 website for opening times...

Even with the abysmal lines of sight under the nose, the target must have disappeared while trying to lead it in even a 2 G turn, the A6 and later series of Fw 190s are still my favorite German aircraft of WWII. Thank you so much for keeping an amazing piece of history in such good condition.

I really appreciate the Fw190 aircraft, Kurt Tank certainly built a winner. I believe the Fw190 was highly underrated in WW2, between the A-5, A-8, F-8, and D-9 models they were stellar aircraft that performed a lot of roles very well. They don't get the credit they deserve.

+David The Kraut Flugwerk was a German company that set up a production line of Fw-190 kits (with some changes) and offered them as a low-cost option for warplane collectors. Twenty-one were offered but I think only about ten of them have been completed to fly including this one.
