So... it was hard to imaging spending $1,000 on these (here in Ottawa)... but I found a used pair in near-perfect condition that set me back $400. And I have to say, they are worth every single dollar.

Love the practical section. Construction site, push-ups and a blow dryer tests are awesome!! Way to go guys!

Wonderful review! I just picked these up, compared them extensively in store with the Celestee, Clear MG, and at home with my XM4. I agree with your assessment in terms of sound quality. These sound amazing. It’s apparent it’s made by a company that prioritizes sound quality. Very happy!

@@Hifyed It’s amazing how our ears become more attuned to better sounding speakers or headphones as time passes I started with klipsh heresy speakers almost 30 years ago and in last 10 years I have Focal speakers and then moved to Triangle as they are more affordable/// keep doing your reviews and I will keep watching

I collect headphones (started this year) BOSE QC35 ii Gaming Edition BOSE QC45 BOSE NC 700 Sony XM4 Sony XM5 Focal Bathys Mark Levinson 5909 Both Focal and Mark Levinson are at a whole different level in sound quality. But in my opinion the 5909 gets the #1 spot for me. The Focal Bathys are the only one i can comfortably wear with my glasses on. So that is a big plus for those who wear glasses. I use them at home mainly because I don't want to damage them or getting lost or worse getting mugged for them lol. Point being the Focal Bathys are a great option for anyone wanting great sound, great build and i actually like the how they look. To me its stylish.

you cant use BT 5.1 for HiFi... its only around 500kbp/s.... I have them. they sounding ok, noise canceling is 5 out of 10, they are very comfortable. I am biased since I love audio and I tried have have high end headphones. the DAC mode is not as different, its better but not great. I'd get the sony MX5s. half price better in almost every aspect.
