Tip: After pouring the shampoo out of the measuring cup, rinse it with an ounce of water and pour into the cannon. Prevents waste. Great tutorial, thanks!

If you live in the US, harbor freight has one that attaches to a garden hose for $20 and it is an identical copy of the $50 Griots garage version, the only difference is the griots has a brass o-ring where the harbor freight one has a rubber o-ring. It’s a very good foam gun for the price, I’ve used mine for over a year and no issues

Tip, when you rinse your vehicle with the foam applied start from the top of the car and work down...

If you’re like me, it’s better to start bottom up, so you’re sure you haven’t missed a spot. (Foam stays on spot you haven’t touched yet)

@Monthy Lowas - you're actually wrong. You should actually rinse from the bottom to the top. The foam covers the suface to loosen up the dirt and contain it. The high pressure washer works like a brush and when rinsing, it carries the dirt away. When rinsing from the top first the water runs down and rinses away the foam of the lower parts without the high pressure beam hitting the foam and dirt as supposedly. And also, without the foam covering unrinsed parts, it's easy to miss a spot when you can't see where you have rinsed. Starting from the bottom rinsing horisontally line by line working yourself up, you'll always keep track where to rinse. Yes, rinsing from bottom to the top takes more time and water, but this is the way professionals do for the reasons stated above. When you hand wash a car you remove the dirt mechanically and then there's no reason to rinse from the bottom to the top. Then it's right to rinse from the top. There's a big difference. Cheese!

I just got a new car and have really been into finding the best way to detail it and keep it looking good and new. Your videos have helped me in many ways and showed me elite ways to make my car looking nice and shiny new. Having a foam cannon can add to my progress to becoming great at detailing my car

They are as many “experts” on KZread that advocate foaming the vehicle dry, without pre-rinsing. This gives the foam something to cling onto so that it stays in place, doing its job. Makes sense.

Id really love to win one of these foam cannons simply because ive just gotten my new(er) car last year and really started getting into detailing my own car and appreciating the value of taking care of such a luxury (because cars are luxuries). Just started to learn how to properly clean a car and I get most of tips from you. I bought a pressure washer and a cheap Amazon Foam cannon but I don’t get the results you do. I would really love a higher end cannon so I can continue to learn and have better results.

I recently started an auto detailing business and have seen a lot about foam cannons. I did not really understand the advantages but you have done a great job of explaining why I should have one as part of my detail tool kit.

I’ve been washing/detailing cars since I was helping my father wash his car in the driveway. This new technology: foam cannon and no wiping has to be a god send which I’ve yet to use. Love the videos pan! Just got me a pressure washer after years of talking about getting one. Being a moble detailer i had worried that a pressure washer would kust add time but with the increase of clients with high end vehicles has made me want to improve my methods. So now that i have a pressure washer i need a quality foam cannon to go with it. There are so many choices out there as with all products. But thaks to your videos i am able to make a more educated purchase on the products i use!

Hi PAN, I just got a foam cannon for an early xmas gift from my wife. (Not the one you demonstrate but from another company you like...Adam's Polishes.) And though I had seen them used numerous times on You Tube I really didn't know how to actually load it up and use it. I knew you would have a great video on the topic and you do...this one. Thanks for the link to your preferred low pressure foam cannon. This may be a n00b question, but couldn't I just foam, rinse, then foam again and contact wash the car instead of using a different product / gadget? And while I'm asking dumb questions, do you have a preferred washing mitt?

Thank you for another great video, I’ve been looking into different options of foam cannons and this one was one of them would love to add one to my arsenal to keep cars clean.

Have a question about washing your foam cannon. They say say to fill the bottle up with water and run water through your foam cannon to help clean the filter inside the foam cannon . What I do is, I take the bottle off and just hook the nozzle up to the preasure washer and run water through it that way . Is it okay to do it that way or is that not recommended? I figured by doing it that way I don't have to dump the left over soap out of the bottle .

I wash car every chance I can get but never really used the cannon and would love to use it to keep my car as clean as yours...... love the videos

Informative video on a foam cannon! Been using one for years on my vehicle. However, my foam cannon broke recently and that Trinova one looks like a suitable replacement. Come to think of it, I really need a new foam cannon!

Lots of cheap car wash sometimes did the foam wash and then simply use it for contact wash as well. There's no pre wash sometimes.

I've never used a foam cannon, but would like to give it a shot. Thanks.

Can you explain a little bit on all the parts needed for a foam cannon to work? I just started learning how to wash my car myself. You mentioned the high-pressure wash gun attached to the foam cannon, but in the video when you started using the foam cannon, the gun was attached to something else. Can you explain what part that is?

From what I've seen using my cannon on a small pressure washer (Entry level Karcher), is that you need to use a lot of solution to get a decent amount of suds. That's the only downside with using a foam cannon in my eyes, you need a pretty strong washer, unless if I'm doing something wrong.

I’ve been binge watching your channel for months as soon as I found it! I’ve taken away more detailing tips from your channel than any of the others I watch. The Tori-Nova cannon would make the perfect addition to the Kärcher K5 Premium I recently bought at your recommendation! Thanks Pan!

I’d love to get one of these foam cannons because I have never had one and have always had to old school wash a car. @Pan, what tip do you use for rinsing? My washer cam with a "soap tip" (that isn't the foam cannon it's for low pressure soap like for a deck), and a 40 degree tip. Definitely don't want to ruin the paint or sensors!

@@PanTheOrganizer so you don't wash with your hand, you can just rinse the soap and it will clean

Pan TheOrganizer My favorite (difficult to pick only one!) is the full detail of the Chevy Silverado Z71, because I have the same truck and only wish I could get it close to how yours came out! Need to get some iron remover and clay bar next . . .

Question… after you get the car covered with Foam is there a “rule of thumb” length of time to let the foam stay on the car before you begin to rinse? Thanks

That depends on which exact snow foam you are using. Always follow the specific instructions on the label of the product you are using. You might want to try cordless leaf blower to dry the car. Ego 650 or 765cfm should do the trick.

My foam cannon doesn't work well. It came with my electric power washer and just doesn't foam enough. Would be cool to try this one!

Hello Pan. Thanks for the great video. I'm going to use a Foam Cannon for the first time this weekend. I have heard that spraying a car with a power washer can lift the paintwork over time. Do you have any thoughts on that, please? Many thanks. Gina.

Absolutely no worries as long as you don’t go over 2000 psi for the pressure washer. I have been pressure washing cars for 25 years, never had an issue.
