FNS Hämeenmaa is a lead ship of Hämeenmaa class coastal minelayers of the Finnish Navy.
The Hämeenmaa-class minelayers is a two vessel strong class of coastal minelayers. The sister ship is FNS Uusimaa.
The Republic of Finland became a member of NATO on 4 April 2023. Finland became a NATO member followed by Sweden.
FNS Hämeenmaa minelayer is capable of operating and breaking through 40cm of sea ice.
