    To be more precise it is derived from the italian version of FREMM, it was based on the Finmeccanica design and it is produces now by the Finmeccanica Marinette Marine in the USA

    @@MarioVesco not 100%. The french is more on the AAW while italian more multipurpose. Anyway the american version was fully redisigned starting from the italian structure, now I suppose just 50% are similar to the original FREMM. I.e. they reinforced the hull etc....

    @@felcofb4750 agreed, but the difference between the French and Italian variants is in the systems (weapong and electronics), while the general design (general architecture, hull, superstructures) is common to the two ships--except the Italian version has a higher displacment (6,700 t vs 6,000 t) and overall length (144.6 m vs 142 m). In the end, if this was not the case, it would not make sense to even define the FREMM frigate as one single class. So, when I wrote that the constellation is derived from the FREMM design, I indeed meant in terms of overall design, certainly not in terms of systems. However, I agree that the Constellation is more closely derived from the Italian variant.

    @@felcofb4750 You are playing with words for nothing really, french and italian FREMM essentially are the same ships otherwise why would they have had a common program in the first place.. the differences are many but its more about systems and some modular options.

    Nice video, brief and informative. For the Turkish frigates though I have to note that the class name is 'İstif' not 'İstanbul', TCG İstanbul will be the first ship of the class. And also the number of orders for İstif class frigates were increased to 8 recently.

    They could have at least added two SPG-62 CWI X-band radars for the US Constellation class with one in the front and one in the back just like the Spanish F110.

    It's going to be surrounded by other ships with X band radar, but it's role is anti ship and anti submarine which is why it doesn't have X band radar itself.

    The term cruiser will disappear from Naval nomenclature with the retirement of the last Ticonderoga class ship in the USN in the next couple of years. 9-10,000t ships being called Frigates is now quite common. Type 26, F-126, Constellation and Germany is working on the F127 design which will be up to 12-13000t. Size is not nor has ever been a deciding factor in what is a Destroyer or what is a Frigate

    @@KuchBhi-xs5oeAt this stage no one is showing any inclination to re-introduce the term, even the Tico replacements are being designated as Destroyers (DDGX). The only reason the Ticos were designated as Cruisers, was because their primary role was as Air Defence Command ships, the USN has now rolled that into the Burke Flt III. There is no role left for Cruisers.

    Most countries now classify ships now by role and function rather than displacement. Frigates are optimised for ASW operation while Destroyers are focused on Air Defence .

    Germany does not want to name their ships destroyers or cruizers due to political reasons. Japan has a helicopter destroyer but that ship is a full aircraft carrier. The reason for the weird classification is the same, political reasons. 10,000 tons is nearly the size of a pocket battleship.

    The information for the Hunter class is way out of date, construction has not started, they are 151m long and 10,000t and the MRH-90 has been retired.

    Incorrect they have been started although we are having issues with making them we are behind plan with the first one not going to be ready till 2034 but she has already been layyed down at our shipyard. Go on Google maps go to the captial of south Australia to the city of adelaide Find the harbour there and find a part of the habour called Osborne and you'll see our navel yard and one of these half built out the front we started building it 2 years ago

    More like burryed. We dug a hole for them, we still operate Seahawks and we have ordered over 60 black hawk models as well and another 42 mh60 Seahawks. The only thing we have stopped with is the rest of the f35 lightings as they are fucking useless and shocking romours are we are giving Ukraine our 32 current f35 fighters and go back to the Japan Mitsubishi or the Eurofighter

    @@scottbrown7073 Stop listening to silly rumours, the F-35s are fine, them being useless is an absolute fallacy spread by people who have no idea. and any disposal of them are subject to ITAR restrictions anyway, doubt the Americans would clear any such transfer. We are replacing the 47 MRH-90 with 12 MH-60R in RAN service and 40 UH-60M in Army service.

    @@Harldin A perfect solution to this is probably not possible. For example, the two F-35 aircraft Australia bought in 2013 for more than A$280 million are now arguably too old to be upgraded to the current configuration. In terms of flying combat missions, these two aircraft are obsolete and are looking at helping boost Ukrainians air capabilities

    All these are NEW designs, that will come into service in the coming years or (like Mogami) commissioned very recently. Project 22350 Admiral Gorshkov is an old design, whose construction started on 1 February 2006 (18 years ago).

    South korea FFX3 has 16 vls and each sell has quardpack anti aircraft missle vessel, and have 4side aesa radar. And they have HMS and TASS, ant submarine missle.

    The Constellation-class is such a massive letdown, lacks an integrated mast, horribly designed hull, outdated, high RCS signature, 32-cell Mk41 VLS, dinosaur at this point, should have been 32x2, deeper and larger cells, can’t carry long range SAMs, minimal ASUW capabilities…could write a thesis…

    Fake video. The program of Russian frigates of the “admiral” series is not indicated - 30 frigates until 2030. Moreover, the frigates are already being launched. The frigates carry 3M22 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles with a range of 1000 km (flight time 7 minutes) and the ability to install a nuclear head, which makes them a formidable adversary even for the Carrier Strike Group.

    @@romankovalev7894 All of them will be built. And no matter what the speed of the missile is, the most important is to do the job. Like the Exocet, sinking the HMS Sheffield and the R-360 Neptune, sinking the Moskva cruiser. Till now, no ship has ever been sunk with supersonic missile. And the name of the clip is "14 Forthcoming FRIGATES", not corvettes or fast missile crafts. You are free to make your own video, though. For all corvettes or other vessels you are interested in.

And I don’t believe that Neptune struck the Cruiser 🤣🤣 a fairy tale for idiots to lift their spirits. Just like the beautiful story about the guy who said “Russian ship FU”, fought like a tiger and died like a hero, he was awarded the order. And it turns out he was a prisoner. And he was very surprised by his glory in Ukraine when the Russians released him. And he gave up without any pretentious words.
