Cassette Girl, who is playing with them, had shitty wifi and mommy used her powers to conjure up Cassette Goon as her character and try to ruin their date by making BF lose the game. It's basically a tiny little event where MM does what she and Daddy Dearest do best: Interfere with their daughters love life

So if your wondering about the first week, there was supposed to be a cutscene after the last song. In the cutscenes it goes back to the mall realizing that everyone (except Lav for some reason) came back to life, including Boyfriend, tho he might just respawned.

I don't. It's annoying and inappropriate given the subject matter and the goal of the thing she's playing, and making things seem family friendly when showing off intentionally non family friendly material will just make it seem safe to for kids to engage in media that isn't meant for them. If anything if you're trying to make shit like Funkin kid friendly you are luring them into a minefield of adult and likely harmful content for children. Just be honest and then you at least aren't guilty of that shit. I figure she just doesn't want to get demonitised though. Which is fair enough. In game dialogue is one thing though.
